POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose
The HYCO Steam Methane Reformer Shift Operator is accountable for the day-to-day operation for one of the APQ facilities which can include a Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, a CO2 Removal Unit &amp; CO2 Compression, Auxiliary PSA, Membrane Unit, related Utilities and pipeline network for the Air Products Qudra (APQ) Company in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Nature &amp; Scope
The HYCO Shift Operator, reporting to the HYCO Lead/Shift Supervisor, is accountable for the day-to-day operation of the HYCO facility, ensuring the production requirements set by the customer are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. The Shift Operator will execute daily tasks which include preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, complete operations preventative maintenance activities, and assist the maintenance and engineering teams in preparing and executing corrective maintenance activities.
NOTE: &ldquo;ALL OPERATORS INTERVIEWED BASED ON YEARS OF SERVICE, EXPERIENCE, AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS WILL BE EVALUATED AND CONSIDERED FOR LEAD AND SUPERVISOR POSITIONS AFTER COMPLETION OF THE OPERATOR PROGRESSION COURSE. PERSONS WITH A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS TO 15 + YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PLANT OPERTIONS AND LEADERSHIP POSITIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED&rdquo;.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Safety

Technical:<ul><li>
Operate the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer and CO2 recovery units and ancillary equipment including water treatment units as prescribed by the Work Instruction Procedures</li><li>
Operate the pipeline network to supply hydrogen, steam, and CO2 to the pipeline customers safely and efficiently. The Pipeline operations team will be part of the overall operating team and will also manage the oxygen and nitrogen pipeline products.</li><li>
Provide Operations support &amp; guidance during the commissioning of the plant. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives.</li><li>
Provide Operations guidance to ensure safety, reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, and controls.</li><li>
Manage plant production efficiently based on input provided from Plant Management and Plant Production Engineering to ensure safety and reliability targets are met to achieve maximum profitable.</li><li>
Report shift production progress and plant status to the Shift Supervisor, providing operational solutions for shortfall areas.</li></ul>
Operations<ul><li>
Ensure the safety of all operations personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position facilitates executing, organizing, and auditing, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with process safety, MOC&rsquo;s, and OPHR requirements.</li><li>
Operate the facility insuring Environmental and Regulatory requirements are not exceeded.</li><li>
Assist in the commissioning activities of the facility</li><li>
Ensure Air Products and APQ standards, and global best practices for EH&amp;S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met</li><li>
Follow the Site Work Instruction Manuals for the HYCO, CO2, and ancillary equipment units, along with adhering to other operating and maintenance procedures and checklists to meet the customer&rsquo;s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility of product supply while in compliance of contractual requirements.</li><li>
Follow shift turnover protocols to ensure the safe and efficient handover to the following shift.</li><li>
Support &amp; maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor &amp; evaluate plant systems &amp; equipment through a Plant Process Advisory Model.</li><li>
Support the maintenance and engineering team in maintaining plant reliability through the execution of preventive maintenance activities scheduled and coordinating of corrective maintenance activities of the equipment in order to optimize activities during plant shut-downs to avoid business interruption.</li><li>
Provide operations support and participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis in order to identify &amp; implement sustainable corrective actions.</li><li>
Facilitate attainment of operational excellence and customer satisfaction via operations productivity, reliability, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>
Maintain customer communications and relationships at the &lsquo;board&rsquo; level, insuring customer demand rates are satisfied while maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the facility.</li><li>
Communication of plant activities with other shifts to maintain continuity between shifts for a safe and reliable operation.</li><li>
Execute other duties as assigned from reporting managers in a timely and efficient manner.</li></ul>
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations preferred. An Associate Technical Degree (2-year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence. Experience in process plant operation, demonstrated Hydrogen/SMR/acid gas removal units production plant knowledge a plus with a minimum of 5 years plant operations experience.<ul><li>
Expectation based on level of experience for the operations team to achieve a &lsquo;Level 1 / Board Level&rsquo; status within 2 &ndash; 4 years. Operators will be evaluated during the training period and placed at the level of competence accordingly. All the operations team are considered field and board operators when Level 1 is achieved.</li></ul>
Knowledgeable in the local environmental and health and safety requirements. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity. Able to communicate between operations and maintenance teams. Ability to communicate with the customer at the board level on a daily basis. Proficiency in English speaking and writing.

PURPOSE
The Electrical Technician working closely with the Maintenance Team, Planner , Operations, and Technical Management is responsible for coordinating, organizing, and executing Electrical activities for preventative and corrective maintenance, with the aim of reducing maintenance related costs while improving plant reliability and availability, in line with business needs for facilities which range across multiple technologies such as Air Separation (ASU), Steam Methane reformer (HYCO), and CO2, along with ancillary equipment to support the facility. The role supports the Plant Support teams in providing similar services to our joint venture partners, sale of equipment and new customers as required for BHIG Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
NATURE &amp; SCOPE
The Electrical Technician, reporting to the Maintenance Lead, is responsible for providing day-to-day support, maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Electrical systems in the facility as well as executing preventative and corrective maintenance activities for all site high voltage electrical equipment as cascaded by Maintenance Management and Engineering. The position will work closely with internal and external resources and ensure the scope of work is executed safely and reliably.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
SAFETY<ul><li>

Responsible for executing Critical Safety Circuit (CSS) revalidations for the Air Separation Units.</li><li>
In cooperation with Engineering execute a reliability program to achieve operational excellence by sustaining equipment operation and drive productivity to increase efficiency.</li></ul>
MAINTENANCE<ul><li>
Ensure the safety of all maintenance personnel by utilizing the BHIG Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position is a key member in building the Air Products safety culture into the BHIG.</li><li>
Understand Environmental Regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Support electrical construction and commissioning activities.</li><li>
Ensure Air Products and BHIG standards, and best practices for EH&amp;S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met.</li><li>
Monitor and execute preventative and corrective maintenance activities pertaining to the operation of electrical equipment, to ensure safety and reliability targets are achieved.</li><li>
Maintain equipment maintenance document integrity through accurate technical reports.</li><li>
Supervise and assist electrical contractors with all site related activities assigned to them, Ensuring the safety and reliability philosophy is followed.</li><li>
Working with the operations and engineering teams understand plant issues and execute cost effective solutions for resolution to meet the customer&rsquo;s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility on product supply.</li><li>
Facilitate attainment of operations excellence and customer satisfaction via maintenance productivity, reliability, quality, and cost reduction efforts.</li><li>
Provide electrical maintenance support and participate in incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. Identify &amp; implement sustainable corrective action(s).</li><li>
Provide support during turnarounds (TAR), including electrical maintenance and repair information collection, preparation of job packages, spares and materials, contractors and tools, safety management during execution, and TAR execution and contractor management.</li><li>
Emergency response required 7 days a week/ 24 hours a day. The electrical maintenance technician must have the ability to make decisions upon consulting management, operations, and engineering outside of normal working hours on the resolution of the issue at hand.</li><li>
Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal and communication skills are essential to the position. Credibility and respect across the organization is important.</li><li>
The incumbent works closely with operations and engineering to ensure alignment with operational objectives.</li></ul>
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
A 2-year diploma in Electrical Engineering or a trade or technical degree in the related field.</li><li>
10+ years minimum hands-on Electrical technician experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in. Air Separation, HYCO, and CO2 facility maintenance a plus.</li><li>
Demonstrated technical and practical problem-solving skills with a good business sense in the maintenance field.</li><li>
Promotes a &lsquo;one team&rsquo;s environment.<ul><li>
Proven coordination experience in a multi team environment which includes engineering, maintenance, and contractors.</li></ul></li><li>
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and decision-making skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively develop electrical team knowledge and understanding of electrical systems and maintenance.</li><li>
Strong oral and written skills with the ability to communicate maintenance activities to the ASU management team daily.</li><li>
Knowledge of computer-based applications (Microsoft Office) and a working knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP knowledge a plus) in order to enter and retrieve data.</li><li>
Ability to read single line drawings, P&amp;IDs, ladder logic, wiring schematics, and other technical documentation.</li><li>
Hands-on knowledge of construction and maintenance, including but not limited to the following:<ul><li>
Effectively use typical test and calibration electrical equipment, including pneumatic calibrators, RTD calibrators, mA calibrators, T/C calibrators, digital and analog multi-meters, meggers, and laptops for equipment communication.</li><li>
Control systems such as DCS and PLCs (Siemens experience a plus).</li><li>
Control and switch valves with associated actuating systems.</li><li>
Fabrication, wiring and hook up experience of Instrumentation and Electrical equipment.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and repair 480 &ndash; 13.8 KV 3 phase motor controls and 120 VAC control circuits.</li><li>
Field Application Panels for synchronous motors.</li><li>
Experience with inspection repair, installation trouble shooting, and modification of large and small induction &amp; synchronous motors (ABB motor knowledge a plus).</li><li>
Experience with transformers, high and low voltage switch gear, gas circuit breakers, high &amp; low voltage protective relays, generators, and distribution systems.</li></ul></li><li>
Must have experience in major shutdown support, project work, plant operations and maintenance efforts.</li><li>
