Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant &ndash; Imaging Services provides administrative and clerical support to the Imaging Department, including reception, scheduling, report processing, and communications with patients, providers, and other departments. This role ensures the accurate handling of medical documentation, supports day-to-day operations of imaging services, and contributes to efficient workflow, positive patient experiences, and departmental compliance.
Essential Functions<ul><li>

The ideal candidate is confident in chairside assisting, experienced with four-handed dentistry, and attentive to maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, sterilization, and infection control protocols</li><li>Experience with Open Dental, digital charting, and intraoral scanning preferred</li><li>Skilled in temporary crown fabrication and assisting across multiple dental specialties</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented attitude</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Professional, friendly, and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care</li></ul>Experience with Open Dental software, intraoral scanners, 3D imaging, temporary crown fabrication, and cord packing is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide chairside assistance during dental exams and procedures using four-handed dentistry</li><li>Prepare, disinfect, and maintain operatories in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards</li><li>Take, process, and mount dental X-rays according to safety guidelines</li><li>Assist with procedures in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry</li><li>Record vital signs, review medical histories, and help patients feel comfortable before treatment</li><li>Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care</li><li>Accurately update and manage patient records using Open Dental software</li><li>Operate intraoral scanners and support digital dentistry workflows (3D imaging experience a plus)</li><li>Fabricate temporary crowns and assist with cord packing for impressions</li><li>Monitor, restock, and assist with ordering dental supplies and inventory</li><li>Ensure all patient interactions and documentation comply with HIPAA regulations</li><li>Communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with patients; bilingual skills are highly valued</li></ul>Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
