Test Driver / Data Collection Driver
Location: Bristol
Work Location: On the road – Bristol and surrounding areas
Shift Pattern: Early Shift / Late Shift

Overview
We are looking for two reliable and responsible Test Drivers to support vehicle data collection projects based in Bristol.
This is a practical, independent driving role. You will operate a test vehicle on designated routes and use onboard testing/data collection equipment according to project instructions.
Drivers will normally work independently without an engineer in the vehicle, so the role requires good concentration, responsibility, and the ability to follow operating procedures accurately.
The work is based locally in Bristol and surrounding areas. No UK-wide travel or overnight stays are required, and drivers will return home after each shift.
We are currently recruiting for:
- 1 Early Shift Test Driver
- 1 Late Shift Test Driver
Exact working hours may vary depending on project requirements and will be confirmed in advance.
Responsibilities
- Drive test vehicles on designated public-road routes in Bristol and surrounding areas.
- Complete vehicle data collection tasks according to provided routes, test plans, and operating instructions.
- Independently operate and monitor onboard data collection/testing equipment.
- Carry out basic equipment checks before and during each shift.
- Identify and report equipment issues, vehicle abnormalities, or unusual events during testing.
- Keep simple and accurate records of completed routes, mileage, test activities, and any issues encountered.
- Follow all road safety requirements, project procedures, and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain concentration and safe driving standards during long or repetitive driving tasks.
- Communicate clearly with the project team regarding progress, issues, or equipment status.
Requirements
- Must be aged 25 or above.
- Minimum 2 years of UK driving experience.
- Hold a valid UK driving licence with a clean or acceptable driving record.
- Confident and safe driver with good knowledge of UK road rules.
- Reliable, punctual, responsible, and comfortable working independently.
- Able to remain focused during long periods of driving and repetitive routes.
- Comfortable following written operating instructions and using basic electronic/testing equipment.
- Able to identify and clearly report problems encountered during testing.
- Basic English communication skills required.
- Chinese language skills are an advantage but not essential.
- Previous experience in vehicle testing, data collection, delivery driving, fleet operations, or similar driving roles is advantageous but not required.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Ideally based in or within reasonable commuting distance of Bristol.

Pay: £15.00 per hour
