<div><p>The Dublin San Ramon Services District is recruiting for a regular, full-time Environmental Chemist I/II in the Laboratory &amp; Technical Services Division of the Operations Department.<br>

Under direction or general supervision, learns and performs a variety of routine to complex chemical, physical, biological, and microbiological analyses involved in the testing of District&rsquo;s potable and recycled water and wastewater quality; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to conducting and interpreting standard and complex laboratory analyses; collects samples; sets up testing procedures, records data, and analyzes results; assists with field and laboratory investigations to determine and mitigate wastewater and water problems; and performs related duties, as required.<br>

<b>IDEAL CANDIDATE</b></p><p><br>
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience operating and maintaining ICP-MS instrumentation for trace element analysis. They will possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently troubleshoot analytical and technical issues. Proficiency in LIMS (Labworks) is essential for accurate data entry, management, and reporting.</p><p>
Flexibility and adaptability are key, as the role involves a variety of administrative and technical tasks in a small-lab environment. A strong commitment to data integrity, quality, and safety compliance is critical for success in this position.</p><b><br>

Possession and maintenance of a California Water Environment Association Laboratory Analyst Grade I certificate within two (2) years of appointment is required.</li></ul><b>

Equivalent to a bachelor&rsquo;s degree with major emphasis in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a closely related field.</li><li>
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in water, wastewater, environmental, or industrial laboratory testing, analysis, and control comparable to the Environmental Chemist I.</li><li>
Possession and maintenance of a California Water Environmental Association Laboratory Analyst Grade I certificate is required upon appointment.</li><li>
Possession and maintenance of a California Water Environment Association Laboratory Analyst Grade II certificate within one (1) year of appointment is required.</li></ul></div><p></p>

<div><p>Possession of a Class C Driver's License required by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles, to perform the duties of the position.
