These are contracts with various vendors or other service providers and the applicant must have demonstrated experience and/or education that allowed them to review performance and service delivery and know what to do and be able to act when performance does not meet expectations. Includes: drafting or developing contracts for provision of products and/or services and the related budget components; negotiating the terms of contracts to include: costs, timeframes and performances expectations and/or work products; monitoring and managing all aspects of the contracts: to include timely submission of financial reports, performance reports, work products and determining when appropriate benchmarks for payment of invoices are met. Specific educational courses that relate to the selective might include: contract management, business law, principles of economics, business management and similar courses.<br>

A minimum of 6 months experience, 12 semester hours, or a combination of both, where the applicant has received training in or been in charge of information technology projects that included some or all of the following:</p><ul><li><br>
Coordinating professional, paraprofessional, and technical personnel involved in the development of new and/or maintenance and operation of existing information technology systems;</li><li>Responsible for multiple business and/or computer applications through the development and support phases;</li><li>Initiates in systems analysis studies;</li><li>Evaluates overall and individual work performance to determine effectiveness in providing quality products within time and cost restraints;</li></ul><div>

<div><p>Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:<br>

1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to seven years of full-time work experience in application development and database management, business analysis, systems and network administration, technical training and reporting, IT vendor and purchasing management, IT project management, IT product management, system testing and quality assurance, mainframe and platform administration, and/or information technology security, which included three years of management experience.<br>

 The Information Technology Director (IT Director) provides executive leadership, strategic vision, and operational oversight for all information technology functions supporting the South Carolina State Housing Finance &amp; Development Authority (SC Housing). The IT Director ensures that technology systems and services enable the secure, efficient, and mission-aligned delivery of affordable housing programs and agency operations.

 This position works in close partnership with the Executive Director, program leadership, finance, compliance, federal partners, and external vendors to modernize technology platforms, strengthen cybersecurity, enhance data interoperability, and advance outcome-driven program delivery. The IT Director is responsible for ensuring alignment with statewide IT standards and governance requirements, overseeing shared services provided through the Department of Administration, and fostering a strong customer-focused culture within the IT division.

 As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the IT Director contributes to both long-range and operational strategic planning for the agency. In this position you will get firsthand experience in the role of technology in local governments as you work independently and collaboratively with IT professionals to support the county&rsquo;s mission.</p><p>
In this internship, you will work with various technology disciplines, such as computer support, networking, application development, and cybersecurity, supporting all areas of government operation: county administration, public works, law enforcement, land use management, finance, and many others.</p><p>
We are looking for a college student majoring in information technology, computer science, software development, cybersecurity, or a related field. In reviewing application materials, we will be looking for:</p><ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to exercise good judgement when interacting with county employees.</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and end users.</li><li>Ability to maintain data privacy and confidentiality as required.</li><li>Ability to follow written and oral instructions</li></ul><p>
