<div>Job Summary:
The Electrical &amp; Instrumentation (E&amp;I) Designer III supports Strike&rsquo;s E&amp;I Services group by executing electrical and instrumentation design activities across a wide range of energy infrastructure projects. This role contributes to the development of detailed design packages for facilities such as pump stations, meter stations, compressor stations, terminals, and pipeline systems. Responsibilities include producing accurate wiring, installation, and schematic drawings for electrical equipment and instrumentation used in midstream operations. The E&amp;I Designer collaborates closely with engineers, senior designers, project teams, construction personnel, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality, constructible E&amp;I design packages that support safe and efficient field execution.
Primary Job Functions:<ul><li>
Lead E&amp;I design efforts on assigned projects and provide technical guidance to Designers.</li><li>
Develop complete E&amp;I design packages including wiring diagrams, loop sheets, panel layouts, conduit and cable routing, grounding plans, lighting design, instrumentation details, and bill of materials.</li><li>
Develop demolition drawings for brownfield projects based on site visits and project scope of work.</li><li>
Interpret P&amp;IDs, electrical one-lines, system architecture drawings, vendor packages, and engineered specifications to translate concepts into constructible designs.</li><li>
Coordinate and integrate multi-discipline inputs (civil/structural, mechanical, and process) into E&amp;I deliverables.</li><li>
Assist engineers with creating instrument index and instrument data sheets.</li><li>
Assign instrument installation details based on P&amp;IDs and 3D model.</li><li>
Lead and perform drawing checks, quality reviews, and constructability assessments.</li><li>
Incorporate vendor documentation, field data, redlines, and engineering markups into final design deliverables.</li><li>
Provide technical support to project managers, engineers, and construction teams during installation, commissioning, and startup.</li><li>
Participate in site visits, field data collection, design verifications, and troubleshooting activities.</li><li>
Support schedule development, man-hour estimates, and project planning for E&amp;I design tasks.</li><li>

Experience:<ul><li>
7+ years of E&amp;I design experience within midstream, oil &amp; gas, industrial, or energy infrastructure projects.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience producing full E&amp;I design packages for facilities such as pump stations, meter stations, launcher/receiver sites, compressor stations, terminals, and pipeline systems.</li><li>
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and CADworx software. Experience with 3D Navisworks software.</li><li>
Strong experience reviewing and interpreting engineered drawings and vendor packages.</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree in drafting/design preferred, but equivalent experience accepted.</li></ul>
Competencies:<ul><li>
Expert knowledge of hazardous area classification (API RP500, AGA XL1001), NEC requirements, instrumentation design, and industrial electrical systems.</li><li>
Thorough understanding of raceway design, MCC and VFD layouts, grounding systems, industrial lighting, and power distribution.</li><li>
Strong understanding of PLC hardware, I/O schematics, loop diagrams, control panel design</li><li>
Strong understanding of instrumentation installation practices including tubing installation details, where applicable, and fixture mounting/support details.</li><li>
Familiarity with creation of E&amp;I plan drawings from CADworx models.</li><li>
Ability to locate and identify inline instruments in a 3D Navisworks model.</li><li>
Ability to create 3D CAD models from vendor drawings of electrical equipment is preferred. Minimum requirement is ability to place blocks from a 3D library.</li><li>
Experience creating data sheets for equipment, valves, and instrumentation.</li><li>
Ability to perform complex NEC calculations for equipment sizing, feeder sizing, load analysis, and protective device selection is preferred but not required.</li><li>
Ability to independently identify design issues, propose solutions, and implement corrections.</li><li>
Proven ability to mentor junior designers and contribute to team skill development.</li><li>
Strong communication skills for coordination with engineering, field personnel, and project stakeholders.</li><li>

<div>Burrow Global has an immediate need for a Level II I&amp;E Designer for our Beaumont engineering office.

This position will be responsible for supporting midstream EPC projects in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical industries.

Daily duties include:

<ul><li>Updating P&amp;ID redlines using CadWorx</li></ul>
<ul><li>Creating Instrument Location Plans</li></ul>
<ul><li>Creating and updating Electrical Area classification drawings</li></ul>
<ul><li>Creating and update facility Key plans</li></ul>
<ul><li>Generating Instrument datasheets</li></ul>
<ul><li>Creating cable conduit schedules</li></ul>
<ul><li>Designing cable tray and conduit system and routing</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintaining As Built documents and project sign-off.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Creating and maintaining instrument Index.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Verify Loop drawings.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform Walkdowns at client facilities.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience importing laser scan data using .RCP or .LGS</li></ul></div> 


Associates degree in drafting or a related field with a maximum of 5-7 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical drafting and design.

EPC Project experience is highly desired.

Experience with Autocad and CadWorx is required.

Active TWIC Card is preferred.</div>
