 Position Purpose:
 
 
 
 The Instrumentation &amp; Electrical Technician (I&amp;E Tech) will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will support plant operations by maintenance and repair of all electrical systems, instrumentation and controls and equipment. The I&amp;E Tech will perform skilled work requiring a high degree of precision and understanding of technical data and systems. The I&amp;E Tech often works alone and must be aware of circumstances that can contribute to the injury of personnel and damage to equipment.
 
 
 
 Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Maintain equipment used to control the operation of boilers, compressors, pumps, and other plant equipment and systems.
 </li>

 Perform periodic cleaning, inspection, testing, repairing, and calibration of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic control systems. Typical equipment serviced includes temperature and pressure instruments, gages, flow transmitters, switches, solenoids, and control valves.

 Perform repairs and modifications to control circuitry. Install and program electronic instruments. Install sensing elements, wiring, tubing and fittings. Clean and repair electrical power switching equipment.

JOB SUMMARY &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</h1>
The Instrumentation &amp; Electrical Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and identifying root-cause issues, repairing or replacing parts and rewiring and installing related instrument/electrical goods at the bioprocessing facility. The Instrumentation &amp; Electrical Technician ensures that all work performed follows electrical codes and tests and inspects and repairs issues when they occur. Team members in this position will communicate any problems or concerns to the management team. This role is also responsible for reviewing all electrical procedures for the bioprocessing facility, assisting in developing pertinent electrical programs and training team members. Continuous plant operation includes 24/7 schedules. Team member must be able to meet call-in requirements as needed.
This is an on-site role located in Ashton, IA. Responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Troubleshoot and identify a root cause, repair, or replace parts, rewire and install related instrument/electrical goods including conduit and/or wiring.</li><li>
Ensure that all work performed is completed by following all local electrical codes. Including 4160V, 480V, 220V, 110V, 24V DC and 4-20 mA loops and circuits as applicable to the location.</li><li>

Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>
Basic understanding of calibration concepts, test accuracy, and safety requirements.</li><li>
Ability to perform basic calibration tasks on mechanical and electrical instrumentation.</li><li>
Strong organizational and communication skills.</li><li>
Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player.</li><li>
Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and good driving record.</li><li>
Ability to lift moderate to heavy equipment and work in varying environments.</li></ul>
Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
A two-year degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience in Metrology, Instrumentation, Calibration.</li></ul>
