This position prepares an associate to progress into the Client Executive Sales position. Sales Associates work in a variety of situations, at times working as members of a team and other times working alone on an assignment. Sales Associates are under close supervision of the Practice Group Leader and the Director of Business Insurance Sales, and performance is monitored to assess readiness for advancement after the Sales Associate meets sales goals required for validation.
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</h2>
<ul><li>Responsible for developing existing client relationships and new business opportunities via meetings, telephone calls, networking events, building a Center of Influence Network and emails as agreed upon by the associate, Director of Business Insurance Sales and Practice Group Leader.
<ul><li>Consult with clients and prospects regarding their Business Insurance Insurance needs (Property and Casualty, Workers Compensation, etc.) to identify how they can make their business more profitable.
</li><li>Conduct a first appointment asking need based questions to better understand business and insurance needs.
</li><li>Understand how to take that information and put together an appropriate capabilities presentation to pursue a Broker of Record
</li><li>Evaluate and assess client&rsquo;s needs and coverages to complete a thorough submission and underwriting narrative. Advise on existing product solutions and forthcoming product developments.
</li><li>Coordinate servicing of the client within the scope of the services available.
</li><li>Regularly meet with the Director of Business Insurance Sales to strategize regarding prospect pipeline, and review goals and sales performance against targets as experience is gained.
</li><li>Represent the firm at trade exhibitions and events.
</li><li>Record sales information and provide to appropriate departments within the firm, including proficient use of Salesforce and Sagitta
</li></ul></li><li>Develop problem-solving skills to understand, anticipate, and meet clients' needs.
<ul><li>Attend departmental and sales meetings as required.
</li><li>Attend monthly Learning Path meetings to develop both their insurance knowledge and sales expertise
</li><li>Identify needs and competencies to be acquired, and make use of training opportunities.
</li><li>Learn client policy requirements, internal systems such as Salesforce AgencyInsight, ACT and ImageRight, and departmental procedures/policies.

Successful candidate will be a service and sales oriented individual with high personal standards, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a hands-on work style. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working at a varying pace, unafraid of rejection, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, adjusting priorities often, and managing frequent interruptions.
This position interacts with and provides service to internal associates and has high levels of contact with external vendors. The Client Associate must be positive and approachable, and work effectively with diverse personalities. In addition, the following is required unless otherwise noted:

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">The applicable base salary range for this role is $67,500 to $125,800.
</h3><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Job Overview 
This position involves converting inbound calls into new policy growth and driving results through relationship building. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Inbound Calls: Answer incoming calls to assist potential and existing clients with their insurance inquiries. Identify and address customer needs with available products.</li><li>
Outbound Calls: Proactively make outbound calls to follow up on leads, engaging potential clients to convert inquiries into sales</li><li>
Phone Adherence: Adhere to Amica&rsquo;s phone standards and protocols to ensure productivity and consistency in customer interactions</li><li>
Activity Management: Document all sales activities in a timely and organized manner to ensure appropriate follow-up</li><li>
Compliance and Education: Complete required continuing education to remain compliant with industry standards and regulations</li></ul> 
Obtaining a state insurance license and fulfilling ongoing education requirements to keep the license active are mandatory and extensive training will be offered. 
Salary and Work Schedule 
A starting annual salary of $50,577 ($24.32/hr). Additional compensation would be dependent on level of experience and applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry with a range of up to $66,525 annually ($31.98/hr).
The 40 hour work week is scheduled from Monday through Friday, between the core hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and includes a few holidays and Saturdays annually.
The training schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
Work from home may be available up to two days a week once trained to work independently.
