Program Overview:</b></p></div><p></p><div><p><br>
Intercept&reg;, developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children.<br>

This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family&rsquo;s home and community&ndash;Intercept&reg; is not an office-based program.<br>

Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family&rsquo;s unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>

Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development and quarterly booster trainings to enhance clinical skills</p></li><li><p>
Drives up to 60 to 80 miles to meet with families in their homes and communities (additional travel may be required)</p></li><li><p>

</b></h2><div><div><div><ul><li>Write behavior support plans, monitoring plans, and behavior guidelines that enhance lives and outline the use of proactive approaches, rights restrictions, and/or psychotropic medications used to address mental health/behavioral concerns.</li><li>
Review all behavior plans and document semi-annually, and write a behavioral summary summarizing behavior documentation and relevant information per 633.16 behavior regulation requirements.</li><li>
Prepare behavior data to attend psychiatry appointments with individuals assigned to caseload. Act as a liaison maintaining contact between psychiatrists/relevant medical provider, counselors, or other mental health professionals and residential/work or day hab team.
</li><li>Provide staff with behavior documentation tools, monitor data, and address concerns as needed. In-service behavior plans as needed at staff meetings.</li><li>
Update and file to appropriate physical/digital location all required paperwork i.e. medication approval forms/reduction plans, behavior plans, summaries, semi-annual reviews, etc, with all necessary signatures/informed consents for approval.
</li><li>Interact with Human Rights Committee monthly providing all required behavior plans, medication forms, informed consents, data, and supporting documentation.

</div><p>As part of the Community Assistance Program (CAP), the fundamental reason this classification exists is to co-respond to 9-1-1 calls with Fire and Police personnel as part of a two-person Crisis Response Unit, or to respond to behavioral health calls as part of a two-person Behavioral Health response Unit with a contracted Peer Support Specialist. Both units serve to de-escalate and stabilize crisis situations, and provide emotional support, victim advocacy and resource connection. The Community Assistance Program functions 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Shift, holiday, and weekend work is required. Shifts are 10 hours/day and are assigned in consecutive days (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday).</p><p>
Crisis Intervention Specialist are expected to work on either crisis response or behavioral health unit, as assigned. As part of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the labor unit 7, Administrative, Supervisory Professional and Technical Employees Association (ASPTEA), the departments will conduct a seniority-based schedule bids at least annually (MOA, 2024-2026, page 24.)</p><p><b>

Arizona Special Education Cross Categorical Teacher certification or Special Education certification with EDA specialization</p><p>2. Minimum of two (2) years instructional experience in a school setting (preferred)</p><p>3. Training or related experience in counseling, psychology or social work (preferred)</p><p>4. Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, practices, materials, equipment, and compliance standards required to provide appropriate learning experiences for special education students.
