The Behavior Interventionist will work closely with school leadership, teachers, special education staff, and families to provide targeted behavioral support to students who require additional intervention. Role Mission: The IDEA Interventionist Teacher intervenes with small groups of students who have identified gaps of 2 or more years in Reading and/or Math with the goal of closing that gap by 2 years in just one school year. The IDEA interventionist plays a crucial part in ensuring that all students are prepared to successfully participate in IDEA&rsquo;s AP for All initiative. This is an approach to academic intervention used to provide systematic, and appropriately intensive assistance to children who are at risk for or already underperforming as compared to appropriate grade- or age-level standards. Intervention teachers will use universal screening, Direct Instruction intervention, frequent progress monitoring, and increasingly intensive research-based instruction and interventions for students who continue to have difficulty.
This position is grant-funded with Title I Part A funds. This is a grant-funded position and funding may be extended. A grant-funded position has no guarantee of ongoing and indefinite employment. All duties and responsibilities tied to this position are allowable and allocable to the grant. The employee will work solely (100%) on allowable activities outlined in the grant program.

This role is eligible for various stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership ranging from $500-$4,000 each. We also offer additional performance-based compensation. The school librarian fosters a love of reading, provides guidance in selecting books, models oral reading fluency and comprehension to reinforce the learning taking place in the classroom. Through books and lessons the librarian also builds vocabulary development of our youngest learners. This position is not confined to the traditional tasks of managing the collection and book checkouts; instead, it focuses on actively engaging with students and faculty to support their educational needs.Qualifications / Job Summary: Reinforce foundational literacy skills for students PreK-3rd grade. Passion for fostering a lifelong love of reading and learning in students.
 
Actively circulate among students in the library, offering assistance with book selections, and research projects. Provide guidance on evaluating the quality and validity of online information for older students. Create a collection that ensures diversity and representation, including books and multimedia materials. Foster a welcoming and inclusive library environment that encourages student exploration and learning.
 
Stay current with emerging trends in library science and early childhood literacy. Consult with teachers and staff to support curriculum and classroom instruction. Identify and provide resources that enhance teaching and learning across various subjects. Communication and interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate with the Administrators and Literacy Coach to plan and monitor interventions for students.
 
Organize and host library events, such as author visits, book clubs, and reading challenges. Experience in an educational setting, preferably at the primary school level.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field preferred.
