<p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>FPSS (Part‑145 Line Maintenance Repair Station) is seeking a qualified <b>Safety Management System (SMS) Officer / SMS Responsible</b> to lead, maintain and continuously improve the organization&rsquo;s SMS and safety assurance activities. The role is accountable for implementing SMS processes that meet <b>GACAR / EASA Part‑145</b> expectations and align with the organization&rsquo;s ISO 9001 quality management requirements. This is an operational, hands‑on role based at our line maintenance facility with regular interaction across operations, quality, training and management.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><b>Safety Management System Implementation &amp; Maintenance:</b> Maintain and develop the S M in accordance with rules and regulations guidance and safety principles; ensure alignment with regulatory requirements where applicable.</li><li><b>Hazard Identification &amp; Risk Management:</b> Lead hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation activities; maintain risk register and ensure timely risk controls.</li><li><b>Safety Assurance &amp; Monitoring:</b> Plan and execute safety assurance activities (trend analysis, safety performance indicators, audits, inspections, safety data analysis).</li><li><b>Occurrence Reporting &amp; Investigation:</b> Manage the occurrence reporting system; lead or coordinate investigations, root‑cause analysis (5‑Why, RCA), and produce investigation reports with corrective/preventive actions.</li><li><b>Corrective Action Oversight:</b> Track corrective and preventive actions (CAPs), verify effectiveness, and ensure closure with evidence; integrate CAPs into the Quality Management System.</li><li><b>Safety Promotion &amp; Training:</b> Develop and deliver Safety awareness and safety promotion activities; support development of safety related training and briefings for operational staff and management.</li><li><b>Documentation &amp; Records:</b> Maintain Safety System documentation, safety policy, safety objectives, procedures, and records; ensure controlled distribution and version control in line with organization&rsquo;s document control.</li><li><b>Interface with Regulators &amp; Stakeholders:</b> Prepare safety reports and provide safety inputs for regulatory inspections and audits; act as point of contact for safety matters with oversight authorities.</li><li><b>Management Reporting:</b> Produce periodic safety performance reports and present findings, trends and recommendations to Accountable Manager and senior management.</li><li><b>Continuous Improvement:</b> Propose and lead safety improvement projects; ensure lessons learned are captured and embedded into procedures and training.</li></ul><p><b>Mandatory Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p><ul><li><b>Education:</b> Degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred. Equivalent experience considered.</li><li><b>Mandatory Experience:</b> Minimum <b>3&ndash;5 years</b> proven experience in safety management, safety assurance, or safety investigation roles. Previous experience in aviation is highly preferred; experience in aircraft maintenance environment is preferred.</li><li><b>Regulatory Knowledge:</b> Demonstrable knowledge of <b>GACAR Part‑145 </b>requirements and SMS principles. The Special Investigation Unit Investigator III performs in-depth evaluation of potential fraud &amp; abuse cases and develops complex investigations that involve high dollar amounts, sensitive issues, or that otherwise meet criteria for fraud, waste &amp; abuse. In addition, this position is responsible for building the investigative approach and provide leadership for Investigators through mentoring, on-site audit leadership and hands-on training of investigative techniques.</p><br>

<div>Responsible for in-depth investigations requiring subject matter expertise for suspected provider, pharmacy, employer or member fraud or abuse across all products at L.A. Care Health Plan. Ensures adherence to L.A. Care's policies and procedures for its various product offerings. Conducts investigation-related training. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert, serves as a resource and mentor for other staff.</div>

Duties</div>

Investigates allegations and complex issues pertaining to potential health care fraud by providers or members. Makes potential fraud &amp; abuse determinations by utilizing a variety of sources including data analytics to detect unusual billing. Proactively seeks out and develops leads received from fraud tips and any variety of sources (e.g., fraud alerts, media) and initiates appropriate action. Writes comprehensive investigatory/fact-finding reports and summaries documenting interviews and findings. Reviews information contained in standard claims processing system files (e.g. claims history, provider files) to determine provider billing patterns and detect potential fraudulent or abusive billing practices or vulnerabilities in Medi-Cal/Medicare policies and initiates appropriate action. This position is a leader at onsite audits as assigned in conjunction with investigation development. Completes investigations after referrals to law enforcement (Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS), Department of Justice (DOJ) or local police). Participates at hearings/appeals and can testify as a witness in court proceedings. Initiates the process with L.A. Care&rsquo;s Recovery Services for recoupment of overpaid monies.</p><br>

<p>Submits referrals of suspected fraud cases within mandated period of time as required by DHCS and CMS. Prepares and submits investigative report documenting all phases of an investigation. Maintains cases referred to law enforcement and responds to requests for information; pursues applicable administrative actions during investigation/case development.</p><br>

Additional Information:</b></p><div>
Applicants selected for this position are also eligible to receive a $416.66 monthly increase in addition to the base salary. Applicants hired into an investigative position will receive this increase the first of the month following 120 days of tenure. Once employed, the incumbent must remain in an investigative position to continue to receive the additional pay. If you leave Family Investigations or AR and return within the last 12-months, the INV stipend is given immediately. All other situations must wait the 120 days to receive the INV stipend.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

The City of Jonesboro is seeking a dynamic and grounded individual to serve as a Police Officer Recruit. As the county seat and economic heart of Clayton County, the City of Jonesboro population grows to over 10,000 during the day; however, right at 5,000 residents live within the city limits. JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>
POSITION: Police Officer Recruit</p><p>
REPORTS TO: Sergeant, Lieutenant and/or Chief of Police</p><p>
OVERVIEW: This is a pre-entry level position which works under the general supervision of the Training Officer and/or Sergeant (Shift Commander). As a Police Officer Recruit, you will receive comprehensive training and guidance. Upon passing the Academy and receiving your P.O.S.T. certification, you will immediately be promoted to a Police Officer with the potential to earn an annual salary of up to $53,472.84 (excluding overtime). You can rest assured that your hard work will be rewarded. Keep in mind that the actual salary earned may vary based on factors such as holidays, paid or unpaid leave, and overtime.</p><p>
Rate of Pay: $20.94 per hour.</p><p>
Grade: 13 / Hiring Rate</p><p>
EDUCATION &amp; DIRECTLY APPLICABLE EXPERIENCE</p><ul><li>High School diploma or GED</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li><li>Must have a Georgia Peace Officer Standard Training Certification and be recertified annually.</li><li>Must be able to successfully complete written examinations, background investigation, oral examination, graph examinations, and drug screening.</li><li>Must be able to successfully complete a standard physical agility test, medical examination and drug screening, a polygraph examination, and psychological testing.</li><li>Must be certified in the use of firearms.</li><li>Valid Class M Georgia Driver's License.</li><li>Must have good habits and moral character.</li><li>Must be free of any felony convictions or sufficient misdemeanor convictions to evidence a pattern.</li></ul><p>
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS</p><p>
Due to the nature of the work most decisions must be made by the Officer immediately without the benefit of being able to consult with a supervisor, i.e., whether to arrest, give a warning, shoot or not, impound a vehicle, where to patrol, and which calls need to have a report done. Work begins when an Officer goes on patrol, answers calls from citizens and investigates accidents or crimes. The supervisor reviews work by checking paperwork for errors and content, monitoring radio traffic calls, and assisting at the scene of major crimes. The consequences of errors may be loss of time, inconvenience to the public, lawsuit against the city, injury or possible loss of life.</p><p>
SUPERVISION GIVEN</p><p>
This position does not supervise any other positions.</p><p>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES</p><ul><li>
Attend, participate, and successfully complete a P.O.S.T Certified Basic Academy, where you receive classroom and practical instruction on the criminal justice system.</li><li>
Learn to apply criminal and civil laws with particular reference to the laws of arrest, use of force, custody, search and seizure, and more.</li><li>
Learn police methods and procedures and act with integrity, ingenuity, inventiveness, and strength of character in your work performance.</li><li>
Learn to react as a first responder, implement crime scene management, forensics, collection, preservation, and presentation of evidence, and more.</li><li>
Learn first aid, CPR, hazardous materials awareness, emergency management, and the Incident Command System.</li><li>
Learn the Community Oriented Policing philosophy, crime prevention, victimology/crisis intervention, cultural diversity/discrimination, and interacting with people with disabilities.</li><li>
Learn to use modern law enforcement equipment, communications devices, computers, and information systems.</li><li>
Assist in enforcing all local, state, and federal laws within the jurisdiction of unincorporated Chatham County and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies.</li><li>
Use good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing needs and situations.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p><p>
Employee works mostly outside in all kinds of weather. Stress is caused by non-standard working days with little time off due to a lack of adequate amount of personnel. Work involves recurring exposure to potentially dangerous situations involving law offenders and the use of firearms which could result in injury or possible loss of life. There is also expectations to know a vast amount of information in order to make split-second decisions when handling these dangerous situations.</p><p>
