Our research focuses on investigating the role of non-coding RNA in polycystic kidney disease (PKD). We utilize multiple mouse model of the disease to investigate how non-coding RNA affect formation and progression of PKD. Our work include generating mouse models of PKD and performing molecular and physiological analysis to determine the contribution of non-coding RNA in PKD.<br>

The successful incumbent is expected to have data produced presented to and critiqued by colleagues and should possess strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.</p><p><b><br>

The Research Specialist in the Confocal Imaging Facility (CIF) laboratory in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University assists the Director in all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the facility. The Confocal Imaging Facility provides support for Princeton University faculty and student research utilizing multiple imaging modalities and a total of 14 imaging systems. The CIF provides researches with the ability to visualize a vareity of samples, from monolayers and small organisms, such as developing fly and fish embryos, to very thick sections from brain and other organ tissues. This position reports directly to the Facility Director.</div>
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Orient new users to the lab and support all aspects of the daily operation of the facility. Train users (students, postdocs and faculty) and assist them with routine and complex widefield and confocal experiments. Provide guidance to facility users on sample preparation in consultation with Facility Director, as well as independently.</li><li>
Demonstrate understanding of fundamental theory behind operations of facility equipment. Achieve mastery in providing timely and efficient troubleshooting of the majority of systems during user image acquisition. Help users to switch instrument parameters, allowing users to optimize their experiments real-time.</li><li>
Ability to maintain and operate the CIF in the absence of the Facility Director. This includes on-boarding new users in iLab, approving access to CIF doors through Facilities, and approving access to instrument active directories.</li><li>

This role will be responsible for assisting in the daily function of the laboratory and in conducting experiments.</div><div></div><div><br>
The<b> Center for Discovery and Innovation- CDI </b>was established by <b>Hackensack Meridian </b><b><i>Health</i></b><b> (HMH)</b> as an academic basic and translational research enterprise to rapidly translate science innovation to the clinic and to improve outcomes for patients with cancer, infectious diseases, autoimmune disease and other acute and chronic diseases. The CDI has grown rapidly since its origins in 2019, and now has 39 labs, 200+ scientists and allied personnel supported by 78 NIH and DoD grants and more than 87 other grants and contracts. Areas of expertise include genomics, epigenetics, drug resistance, stem cell biology, drug discovery, diagnostics and biomarker development, rheumatology and pharmacology.</div>
Responsibilities:

Independently designs and performs experiments, within an assigned project and reviews progress, evaluates results, and develops conclusions.
</li><li>Contributes to determining feasibility of goals and objectives.
</li><li>Assures quality, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of assigned projects.
</li><li>Participates in formulating research methods and suggesting options for improving quality and recommending solutions.</li><li>
Identifies problems and related technical issues and makes recommendations leading to long-term solutions.
</li><li>Performs data collection, screening and verifying data.
</li><li>Analyzes experimental results and interprets and implements research methodology based on outcome of analyses.</li><li>
Manages specialized research laboratory functions.
</li><li>Collaborates with other departments to answer questions or provides advice on research projects and Experiments.</li><li>
Organizes and maintains lab space.

</li><li>Assists in managing general laboratory functions.

Qualifications:
