POSITION SUMMARY

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for field landscape operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. The Supervisor directly supervises field labor force, including laborers/craft workers, including Foreman. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. 


The Landscape Supervisor should have the knowledge to oversee the construction of Public Roads, Highways, Public Parks and Sports Fields. The functionalities of irrigation systems and controllers. Projects range from $500,000 to $30,000,000. The oversight will include but not be limited to the following Trades:

Job Summary:
The 1st Assistant Superintendent is responsible for daily operations and administrative functions of the golf course, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and to the highest standards. Day-to-Day:<ul><li>

</div><ul><li> Valid Driver's License: Applicants must hold a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li> Chauffeur&rsquo;s Endorsement: A chauffeur&rsquo;s endorsement or chauffeur&rsquo;s license is REQUIRED for this role and the PREFERRED Candidate already holds one. Candidates willing to obtain a Chauffeur&rsquo;s license, prior to starting work and at their cost will also be considered.</li><li> Previous experience: minimum of 1 year Landscaping Crew Leader is necessary.</li><li> DDOT Medical card: The PREFERRED Candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a Medical exam that includes a drug Test (this is a Federal requirement) post-offer and before starting work.</li></ul><ul><li>
State of MI (MDARD) Pesticide licenses: The PREFERRED Candidate already has MDARD Licenses and is willing to maintain them and potentially add more as the need arises at the Company&rsquo;s cost.</li><li>
Irrigation Experience: The PREFERRED Candidate has some experience in Irrigation troubleshooting and repair as well as Spring Start up and Fall Shut down.</li></ul><div></div><div>

Here&rsquo;s what you&rsquo;d do:
You&rsquo;d flex your leadership skills, directing the work of 2-5 team members. You&rsquo;d ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Our crew leaders oversee crews in varying service lines, including basic maintenance, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and chemical applications.
You&rsquo;d be responsible for:<ul><li>
Performance &amp; Quality:<ul><li>
Overseeing day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members</li><li>
Maintaining a schedule, and ensuring service expectations are met</li><li>
Identifying more efficient ways to perform work

Client Satisfaction:<ul><li>
Surfacing client concerns to the Production Manager and proactively assisting in achieving a resolution 
</li></ul></li><li>
Crew Management:<ul><li>
Providing the Production Manager with feedback on crew members</li><li>
Assisting the Production Manager in the development and training of crew members</li><li>
Turning in accurate crew time logs 
</li></ul></li><li>
Safety:<ul><li>
Ensuring all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies</li><li>
Ensuring equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance</li><li>
Logging equipment usage and maintenance cycles</li></ul></li></ul>
