The Investment Officer will assist in overseeing the investment activity for the infrastructure investment program for the five New York City pension systems. The Investment Officer will report to the DCIO and Head of Infrastructure Investments.

Under the supervision of the DCIO and Head of Infrastructure Investments, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:<br>

<ul><li>Supporting the identification, review, and evaluation of prospective fund and co-investment opportunities; conducting due diligence of fund and co-investment opportunities; developing framework for analyzing the historical track record of prospective investment opportunities; developing financial models and performing technical analyses; summarizing the due diligence findings in investment recommendation memoranda for internal Investment Committee and Boards of Trustees;</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Assisting the investment team in reviewing deal documents, and assisting other teams, including the General Counsel&rsquo;s office and consultants, in negotiating terms and conditions of new investment agreements and other related contracts; Assist with manager risk and compliance review and assessment;</li></ul><br>

<b>Qualifications &amp; Skills</b><br>

</p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering or related technical field (required).</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification required; California licensure preferred or ability to obtain.</li>
<li>20+ years of progressive experience leading the design and construction of major underground transit, heavy civil, or complex infrastructure programs.</li>
<li>Proven experience leading and managing large multidisciplinary engineering and consultant teams within public-sector capital programs.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in underground transit infrastructure within dense urban environments and constrained right-of-way conditions.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of systems integration, technical interfaces, utility coordination, and constructability considerations associated with underground transit infrastructure.</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of capital project delivery models, contract packaging approaches, and infrastructure procurement strategies utilized by major transit agencies.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within complex public-sector governance structures involving agency leadership, governing boards, regulators, oversight entities, and community stakeholders.</li>
<li>Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and credibly in executive-level and public-facing settings.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) processes, procedures, and federally funded project oversight requirements, including management capacity and capability considerations.</li>
<li>Strong strategic leadership and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to balance technical excellence, stakeholder priorities, regulatory requirements, and long-term program objectives.</li>
