THE POSITION: Janitor
The Janitor performs upkeep tasks such as basic repairs. The incumbent will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. Works under moderate supervision. Working as a Janitor typically requires 1+ years of related experience within the organization.
Essential Job Functions of the position may include:
<ul><li>Cleans and maintains buildings, facilities, and equipment.</li><li>
Uses cleaning tools and other products to create a clean, healthy environment.</li><li>
Removes and disposes trash, recycling, and other waste following the appropriate policies.</li><li>
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.</li><li>
Install appliances and equipment.</li><li>
Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.</li><li>
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation).</li><li>
Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm).</li><li>

Report to a facilities or maintenance manager for issues.</li><li>
Report defective materials or questionable conditions immediately. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.</li><li>
Provide training to other technicians in various disciplines as needed.</li><li>
Train subordinate employees on job skills and Company policies and procedures.</li><li>
Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement efforts and projects.</li><li>
Communicate constantly with supervisor regarding issues that may come up at work.</li><li>
Communicates any problems which arise to the supervisor.</li><li>
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.</li><li>

Compensation
AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, specific skill-set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.
The compensation for this position is: $12.5 per hour - $13 per hour 
What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing<ul><li>
Collect and remove trash from theatres, lobby, restrooms, concessions, etc.</li><li>
Wipe, dust, and polish surfaces including seats, handrails, walls, counters, etc.</li><li>
Clean restrooms, including all sinks, fixtures, and toilets.</li><li>
Clean mirrors, windows, and glass.</li><li>
Use blower or vacuum to effectively clean between and under theatre seats.</li><li>
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors, including utilizing proper signage to avoid slips, trips, and falls.</li><li>
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble various pieces of food and beverage equipment.</li><li>
Wash dishes utilizing proper 3-compartment sink procedures.</li><li>
Empty trash receptacles as required.</li><li>
Stock restrooms, janitor closets, and cleaning carts as needed. Communicate needed supplies to management.</li><li>
Abide by all compactor safety rules and maintain compactor/dumpster area cleanliness.</li><li>
Follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials.</li><li>
Follow all AMC Security Protocols.</li><li>
Report damaged/broken equipment to management.</li><li>
Observe and report any potential safety or maintenance concerns to management.</li><li>
Perform other duties as directed by management.</li><li>

The Janitor's role is integral to the customer experience and the operations of the entire building. The position will include maintaining a clean show floor and warehouse environment. We can only do what we do with a professional in the janitor role. RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul><li>Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
</li><li>Gather and empty trash and other rubbish
</li><li>Clean restroom areas, top to bottom, including men&rsquo;s, women&rsquo;s, and unisex restrooms, and supply restrooms, break rooms, or other regions with supplies.
</li><li>Signing off on cleaning logs signifying that the area was cleaned thoroughly.
</li><li>Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures.
</li><li>Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
</li><li>Mix water, detergents, or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
