PRIMARY PURPOSE
 
To lead, oversee, and review the daily work of staff responsible for providing cleaning services for assigned buildings/facilities to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
Knowledge of: 
Operations, services and activities of a commercial cleaning program.
 Safe work practices
 Methods, procedures, materials and equipment used in commercial cleaning.
 The use of toxic and non-toxic chemicals (per MSDS sheets).
 
Ability to: 
Supervise, organize and review the work of lower level staff.
 Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
 Make minor repairs to commercial cleaning equipment.
 Distinguish hazardous chemicals.
 Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
 Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including clients/customers and the general public.
