<div><p>PEN America, a nonprofit organization working at the intersection of literature and human rights, seeks a dynamic and results-oriented program manager of U.S. journalist safety to lead our work supporting journalists and media professionals, as well as their allies and employers, amidst an increasingly hostile environment for press freedom in the U.S. This is a full-time, union-eligible position based at PEN America&rsquo;s New York City headquarters; applicants based in Washington, D.C. will also be considered. The position reports to the Director of Digital Safety and Free Expression in the Free Expression Programs department. The BlackRock Investment Institute (BII) team is at the heart of BlackRock's investment debate and portfolio construction. BII provides a platform for BlackRock&rsquo;s portfolio managers to debate timely topics affecting markets &ndash; and disseminates actionable conclusions through internal summaries and client publications. This nimble, global team has outsized impact on BlackRock&rsquo;s performance, commercial success and brand.</p><p>

Why is your role important?</b></p><p>
The New York-based investment writer spearheads BII&rsquo;s flagship <i>Global Weekly Commentary</i>. The position is responsible for producing investment insights for BlackRock clients and portfolio managers across media. It&rsquo;s part of the global BII publishing team and supports BII&rsquo;s array of other publications and digital tools.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Being a lead writer of BII&rsquo;s <i>Global Weekly Commentary</i></p></li><li><p>
Collaborating with BII&rsquo;s investment strategy, macro and portfolio construction teams to create content</p></li><li><p>
Harnessing AI to improve transform editorial and production processes while maintaining writing quality and accuracy</p></li><li><p>
Partnering with Digital Marketing to produce social and digital content to magnify BII&rsquo;s impact.</p></li><li><p>
Working with compliance and public policy teams to produce BII publications</p></li><li><p>
Collaborating with Marketing and Communications teams to further BlackRock&rsquo;s thought leadership</p></li><li><p>
Interacting with senior BlackRock portfolio managers to summarize views and put together investment insights</p></li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>
Superb writing, editing and storytelling abilities</p></li><li><p>
Knowledge of and passion for economics and global financial markets</p></li><li><p>
A self-starter with loads of creativity, team spirit, versatility and persistence</p></li><li><p>
Ability to work very quickly, deliver on or before deadline and go the extra mile</p></li><li><p>
Work experience of at least 5 years, with a preference for real-time financial journalism. We will consider candidates with more experience.</p></li><li><p>
Intense attention to accuracy, detail and consistency</p></li><li><p>
Intellectual curiosity</p></li><li><p>
Adept at working with AI tools, data mining and using Excel to create graphics</p></li></ul>
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$137,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
