Refrigeration Start-up Technicians are responsible for start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to ensure customer needs are met efficiently, accurately, and on time as well as assist with Energy Optimization (EO) projects. JOB PURPOSE:</b> The ATE Field Technician is a mobile, field-based role responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic, programming, and calibration services to Crash Champions locations. This position requires daily travel to customer sites and plays a key role in upholding ATE&rsquo;s standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service. Technicians are expected to demonstrate integrity in all service recommendations and documentation, ensuring only services required by OEM standards are performed.

<ul><li>Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to internal and external customers.</li><li>
Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company-provided vehicle.</li><li>
Perform a range of vehicle services including diagnostics, calibrations, programming, scanning, and wire/connector repair.</li><li>
Ensure all services&mdash;particularly calibrations&mdash;are clearly documented, required per OEM guidelines, and approved prior to execution, in alignment with company policies.</li><li>
Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and confirm successful repair outcomes.</li><li>
Provide excellent customer service by:<ul><li>
Managing difficult situations with transparency and urgency.</li><li>
Communicating promptly and professionally with shops and internal stakeholders.</li><li>
Escalating concerns when needed.</li></ul></li><li>
Participate in team meetings and training sessions as assigned.</li><li>
Properly care for, maintain, and secure ATE-issued tools, equipment, and vehicles.</li><li>
Stay current on ATE and OEM protocols through required training and Champions Connect updates.</li><li>
Travel daily to service locations and meet productivity and quality goals.</li><li>
Accurately manage documentation and complete final billing before leaving the site, per MCP guidelines.</li><li>
Work assigned schedule including Saturday coverage as required by market needs.</li><li>
Maintain flexible availability to meet customer service commitments across all assigned business days.</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned.</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>
2&ndash;5+ years of automotive experience servicing and diagnosing a wide range of vehicle systems.</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of ADAS and electrical services, including calibrations (levels 1&ndash;3), programming, diagnostics, and wire/connector repair.</li><li>
Proficient with electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, power probes, and resistors.</li><li>
Ability to perform and interpret vehicle health scans using both factory and non-factory tools.</li><li>
Skilled in reading and interpreting OEM and aftermarket service information and wiring schematics.</li><li>
Ability to program vehicle modules using factory or approved non-factory software.</li><li>
Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain technical findings.</li><li>
Technologically savvy, with proficiency in platforms such as Outlook, Teams, and Word.</li><li>
Strong work ethic with a high sense of urgency, self-motivation, and a positive, professional representation of the ATE brand.</li><li>
Must be a continuous learner, eager to develop new skills and grow within the role.</li><li>
Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, shop environments.</li><li>
Willingness and ability to travel daily to service locations (local/regional) using a company-provided vehicle.</li><li>
Saturday availability required on a rotating basis (typically every other Saturday, 9 AM - 12 PM or as scheduled)</li><li>
Flexible Saturday schedule availability to ensure continuous market coverage</li><li>
Ability to work flexible schedule including Saturdays to support business operations.</li><li>
Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license and a safe driving record.</li><li>
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in automotive shop environments.</li></ul></div>
