<p><b>A day in the life:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations</li>
<li>Locate and mark position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors using necessary tools (i.e., ruler, spirit level, and plumb bob)</li>
<li>Cut and thread pipe, using necessary tools (i.e., pipe cutters, port-a-band saw, reciprocating saw, torch, pipe-threading machine)</li>
<li>Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals (I.e., iron, steel, brass, copper, glass, vitrified clay, and plastic) using hand tools and power tools</li>
<li>Join pipes by use of proper supplies (i.e., screws, fittings, solder, brazing, grooving, plastic solvent, welding wire)</li>
<li>Work safely, encourage others to do so, and comply with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures and practices</li>

<li>Work experience as a Pipefitter for commercial construction projects. (Journeyman level experience is preferred, but not required)</li>

What You will Do</b></p><ul><li>
Form, fit, and fabricate metal and nonmetallic piping systems in marine vessels to engineering drawing during all phases of construction and rebuilds from spools and installation through sea trials.</li><li>
Perform job functions in range of work environments, including, fabrication shop, on modular jigs, or on finished assembly.</li><li>
Layout, cut, prepare, and assemble spools, piping systems in modals and final assembly.</li><li>
Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines</li><li>
Use a variety of power and hand tools including pipe wrenches, union wrenches, threading machines, tube and pipe benders, etc.</li><li>
Work from blueprints both in standard and metric to build complex piping systems, spools, and foundations for piping system packages.</li><li>
Perform basic tack and minor welds with MIG and Arc welding processes.</li><li>
Use various metal forming equipment such as sheers, band saws, rollers, bending and tubing, and presses.</li><li>
Use Oxygen/Propane cutting torches to cut pipe and plate in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.</li><li>

The Journeyperson Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, fabrication, and testing of high-purity piping systems supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a strong background in pipefitting, with emphasis on orbital welding, high-purity tube installation, and cleanroom construction protocols.

Working under the direction of a Foreman or General Foreman, the craft worker will perform hands-on installation in cleanroom and sub-fab environments, ensuring all work meets SEMI, ASME B31.3, ASTM, and project-specific standards.

<b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br>

<li>Install, fit, and weld high-purity piping and tubing systems (stainless steel, PVDF, polypropylene, and other materials) in semiconductor cleanroom facilities.</li>
<li>Perform orbital welding, hand welding, and tube bending in compliance with strict cleanliness and quality standards.</li>
<li>Interpret and work from P&IDs, isometric drawings, and spool sheets to complete installations with precision.</li>

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:</b></p><p><b>
Helper</b></p><p>
Assists other mechanics by cleaning, greasing and oiling company vehicles.</p><p>
Repairs or replaces parts on vehicles and equipment as instructed.</p><p>
Assist in cleaning, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment, to include shop equipment/tools as required.</p><p>
Vehicle/heavy equipment tire repair/replacement includes balancing wheel assemblies.</p><p>
Maintain a clean/safe work environment and practice safe work habits.</p><p>
Conduct safety inspections on vehicles, equipment, and shop areas. Adhere to company safety policies.</p><p>
Utilize company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner while abiding by applicable State and local laws as well as company policies, procedures, and standards.</p><p>
Provide customer service including communicating effectively verbally and in writing information regarding vehicle/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations and repair processes. To include updating and closing work orders in a timely manner.</p><p>
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.</p><p><b>
Apprentice</b></p><p>
Performs repairs and/or adjustments upon diagnosis of company vehicles, equipment, or specialized equipment, as assigned.</p><p>
Performs preventive maintenance and/or repairs on company vehicles and equipment, some of which are specialized in nature. Ensures that all vehicle and equipment service and repair procedures comply with required safety procedures.</p><p>
Assists in repairs and/or adjustments on gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.</p><p>
Performs field mechanic duties, as assigned.<b><i>

Verifies that vehicles and equipment can pass appropriate safety inspections.</p><p>
Conducts timely job performance evaluations on subordinates.</p><p>
Communicates with the field concerning heavy equipment operations.</p><p>
Maintains, repairs and services all vehicles and equipment.</p><p>
Determines the need and extent of repair work required on vehicles and equipment based on operator's reports and testing equipment.</p><p>
Performs field mechanic duties as assigned.</p><p>
Coordinates functions related to production and inventory control, and reviews completed sales orders.</p><p>
Directs operation of facilities utilized for repairing, servicing, and storing motor vehicles.</p><p>
Assists in instructing Apprentices on work procedures applicable to their respective Apprenticeship level.</p><p>
