</p><p>We are now seeking an<b> Experienced Pipe Fitter Journeyman</b>, who will create pipe spools and other pipe system assemblies and fabrications for repair and other marine projects. Pipefitting team members gain knowledge and experience in many systems, including heating and cooling, refrigeration, fuel, engine cooling, exhaust, sewage, bilge and ballast, and fire suppression.</p><p><b>
What You will Do</b></p><ul><li>
Form, fit, and fabricate metal and nonmetallic piping systems in marine vessels to engineering drawing during all phases of construction and rebuilds from spools and installation through sea trials.</li><li>
Perform job functions in range of work environments, including, fabrication shop, on modular jigs, or on finished assembly.</li><li>
Layout, cut, prepare, and assemble spools, piping systems in modals and final assembly.</li><li>
Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines</li><li>
Use a variety of power and hand tools including pipe wrenches, union wrenches, threading machines, tube and pipe benders, etc.</li><li>
Work from blueprints both in standard and metric to build complex piping systems, spools, and foundations for piping system packages.</li><li>
Perform basic tack and minor welds with MIG and Arc welding processes.</li><li>
Use various metal forming equipment such as sheers, band saws, rollers, bending and tubing, and presses.</li><li>
Use Oxygen/Propane cutting torches to cut pipe and plate in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.</li><li>

5+ years as a Pipefitter
</li><li>Competence / proficiency in broad range of pipefitter trade skills, including fit, tack, thread, bend pipe, and laterals.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to remodeling and maintenance, utilizing your technical skills and mechanical knowledge to deliver high-quality results.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and drainage components on construction sites or existing structures.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.</li><li>Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other construction tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently.</li><li>Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries.</li><li>Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills.</li><li>Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry or HVAC teams to ensure seamless project execution.</li><li>Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when working with welding or at heights.</li><li>Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation.</li></ul><p><b>Experience</b></p><ul><li>Proven field service experience in commercial or residential construction plumbing projects.</li><li>Strong understanding of construction site procedures, safety standards, and building codes related to plumbing.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.</li><li>Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other related construction tools.</li><li>Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic carpentry is a plus for versatile project support.</li><li>Experience with remodeling or handyman tasks involving plumbing or general maintenance is advantageous.</li><li>Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during installation or repair tasks.</li><li>Valid commercial driver&rsquo;s license (CDL) or ability to operate vehicles required for transporting materials may be preferred.
