Gwinnett County Superior Court Division 5 is seeking a Court Reporter to transcribe verbatim Court testimony and hearings.</div><div><b><br>
Essential Duties</b></div><ul><li>
Attending hearings or Court sessions and reporting verbatim testimony (via recording devices and/or shorthand) of non/jury (pleas, motions, rules, etc.), and civil/criminal proceedings as assigned</li><li>
Preparing verbatim transcripts of hearings and trials as provided by law and as requested by Judges, DAs, and attorneys</li><li>
Maintaining year-to-date records of said proceedings</li><li>
Processing billing notices for reporting/transcriptions</li><li>
Preparing weekly reports and maintaining records</li><li>
Furnishing copies of transcribed testimonies, etc. to attorneys and other interested parties</li><li>

<br>This position exercises considerable independent responsibility for maintaining essentialcourt testimony and records, verbatim testimony must be safeguarded from alteration and unauthorized access. Testimony transcripts must be clear and unambiguous and kept in a system of records that meet the high standards of the court.
