Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>

 The Design Director will lead the creative vision and product strategy for the Girls division, overseeing the design and development of seasonal collections that drive growth, reinforce the brand DNA, and meet the evolving needs of our customers. This individual will guide the team from concept through production, ensuring design excellence, commercial relevance, and flawless execution.
 
 
 The ideal candidate combines a strong aesthetic sensibility with a strategic mindset, deep product knowledge, and proven leadership experience. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Merchandising, and Production teams to deliver compelling, brand-right assortments each season.

 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Design/Product:

 Oversee the product and sample execution for each season
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate with overseas offices daily to execute accurate and attractive sampling in the timeline required.

 Manage all account specific requirements
 </li>

 Adhere to the production calendar and deadlines required.

 Consistently shop marketplace, our competitive set and for inspiration and product opportunities

 Plan the line according to style plans, client&rsquo;s needs and emerging trends
 </li>

 Inspecting samples and approving production
 </li>

 Able to create tech packs, provide detailed construction comments and flat sketches.

 Stay informed and ahead of competitive landscape and industry trends and translate for the brand.

 Cross-Functional Partnerships

 Partner with Design Directors/Merchandiser/Sales to ensure that assortment reflects concept direction, SKU plan &amp; styling needs
 </li>
 <li>
 Work closely with technical team to guide and correct fit samples
 </li>
 <li>
 Direct Tech Pack Designers for accurate information flow to production from costing to production stages. (ADD)
 </li>
 <li>
 Responsible for approvals, corrections, updates and changes to all product as needed. And communicate with Production Coordinators as necessary.
 </li>

 Requirements

 7+ years of related experience in Design and or Product Development
 </li>
 <li>
 &shy;Solid background in working with merchandising on delivering on trend commercially successful designs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Vast knowledge of fabric and construction with a focus on boy&rsquo;s woven and knit tops.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge and experience in children's market
 </li>
 <li>
 Exceptional design and product development skills; ability to manage from idea to execution
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong Merchandising sensibility, coupled with a commercial design eye and product development skill set
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong point of view and decision-making capabilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Solid understanding of the marketplace and competitive landscape
 </li>

 Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functionally
 </li>
