The country programme of WaterAid in Pakistan has been in operation since 2006 and under an MoU with the Ministry of Interior. About the role</b></p><p>
As our Knowledge Management &amp; Learning Coordinator,you will lead the development and dissemination of high-quality WASH knowledge products aligned with strategic priorities, ensuring evidence and lessons learned are effectively packaged for diverse audiences. You will strengthen internal knowledge-sharing systems and promote a culture of learning through collaboration and exchange, while enhancing external visibility and strategic communication to increase organizational influence and contribute to improved WASH programme outcomes.</p><p>
You will work closely with the <b>Senior Management Team, WAP staff, Regional &amp; Global PMER teams, partners, donors and other relevant stakeholders</b> to drive sustainable change.</p><p></p><p><b>
In this role, you will:</b></p><p><b>
Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting</b></p><ul><li>
Play a key role in collecting and recording success stories, challenges, lessons learned, and contribute thematically, programmatically and operationally in other relevant publications, while developing practical recommendations to strengthen and advance overall knowledge management efforts.</li><li>
Conduct research, involve in data collection, data analysis, document and generate knowledge materials to be published in both web-based and printed forms.</li><li>
Coordinate with programme team and ensure timely collection of information as required for producing results-based reports and other knowledge products.</li><li>
Oversee and maintain the organization&rsquo;s knowledge repository, ensuring that all research, reports, and relevant documents are systematically organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.</li><li>
Provide comprehensive support to advocacy and Influencing initiatives by systematically documenting all activities, processes, and strategies undertaken. Ensure that detailed records are maintained for each advocacy effort, capturing key decisions, stakeholder engagements, communications, and outcomes.</li><li>
Leverage field experiences and shared insights to document learning pathways and solutions to WASH challenges to highlight WAP&rsquo;s impact.</li><li>
Plan and conduct regular reflection/after action review sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders. This includes identifying learning questions, setting practical goals, and capturing insights to support continuous improvement and adaptive management.</li><li>
Support programme implementation team in developing project monitoring plans (PMPs) that detail out M&amp;E requirements for projects against set indicators.</li></ul><br>

Essential skills
</b></p><ul><li>At least seven (07) years' professional experience relevant to the assignment as defined in the terms of reference.</li><li>
Experience in developing knowledge products such as reports, briefs, case studies, success stories, and digital content for development projects.</li><li>
Ability to manage content for digital platforms, including updating project pages and organizing digital repositories</li><li>
Equally at ease with both field-based and desk-based work, with practical problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in social sciences or any relevant field.</li></ul><p><b>
Desirable skills</b></p><ul><li>
Demonstrated experience in knowledge management, including documenting success stories, lessons learned, and maintaining organized knowledge repositories.</li><li>

The advisor will provide personalized, one-on-one academic advising to students, helping them navigate their educational pathways. The advisor will assist students in understanding degree requirements, developing academic plans, and exploring potential career opportunities. Advisors are expected to offer guidance on course selection, academic progress, and opportunities for co-curricular involvement to support student success while working through a Guided Pathways framework. This includes helping students identify and pursue clear, structured academic pathways; promoting early engagement in academic planning; and ensuring students are aware of resources that will help them stay on track toward graduation.</p><p>
CASE MANAGEMENT: The academic advisor will manage a caseload of 200 - 400 students, maintaining detailed records of interactions, academic progress, and personal concerns. The advisor will have check-ins with students at 15, 30, and 45 credit hours earned. The role involves monitoring student progress through regular interactions, identifying at-risk students, and providing targeted interventions. The advisor will utilize case management strategies to offer personalized support, including referrals to campus resources such as tutoring, counseling, or career services as needed. TECHNOLOGY: The academic advisor will use various advising and student success technologies to track academic progress, maintain records, and provide proactive support. This includes using a Student Information System (SIS), degree audit tools, advising platforms, and communication tools to monitor and advise students. The advisor will stay current on technological advancements in advising and utilize these tools to enhance the student experience and streamline advising practices. Advisors will use the advising system of record for advising appointments. The advisor will provide advising appointments both in-person and virtually, including at non-traditional times. Track students taking six or more credit hours online.</p><p>
ENROLLMENT: The academic advisor will support students through the enrollment process by providing guidance on course registration, program selection, and understanding prerequisites. They will assist students in reviewing their schedules and ensuring that they meet all necessary academic deadlines. Advisors will also offer proactive assistance in navigating any barriers related to enrollment, including waitlist management, course changes, and prerequisite issues. The advisor will participate at college events, extended hours, and peak advising times during heavy enrollment periods as needed.</p><p>
TRAINING: The academic advisor will engage in regular training and professional development to stay informed about the latest trends, best practices, and institutional policies in academic advising. Training will focus on enhancing advising skills, improving knowledge of student support resources, and staying up-to-date on emerging technologies and advising strategies. This includes attending workshops, webinars, and training sessions offered by the College or external organizations. The advisor will participate in Advising Training Academy each fall and spring, attend the college-wide advising meeting held on the first Wednesday of each month, and meet a minimum score on the advising training assessment yearly. The advisor is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of FERPA, college policies and procedures, especially those related to advising.</p><p>
COLLABORATION: The academic advisor will represent advising on various college committees and events related to enrollment management and advising. The advisor will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and other campus departments to ensure a holistic approach to student support. This includes participating in interdisciplinary teams, attending departmental meetings, and working with other support services (such as tutoring or counseling) to create a coordinated support system. The advisor will actively contribute to implementing and continuously improving the Guided Pathways framework. Collaboration will also extend to community partners to provide students with external resources and opportunities.</p><p>
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: The academic advisor is expected to engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.
