Responsibilities:

Provides personal care services to patients.</div></li><li>
Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of specific techniques of personal and supportive care such as ambulation of clients, transferring clients, assisting with the normal range of motion and positioning, and doing household chores.</li><li>
Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, as assigned.</li><li>
Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.</li><li>
Observes, reports, and documents any changes in patient's status. If unable to perform a certain task, report to the primary nurse.</li><li>
Follow specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care. Written instructions are to be received prior to the delivery of services.</li><li>
Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.</li><li>
Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.</li><li>

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.</div></li><li>
Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.</li><li>

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.</p>
<p></p><h6 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What qualifications you will need:</b></h6><p></p><ul><li><b>
Required Experience: </b>One year of hospital nursing experience</li><li><b>
Preferred Experience:</b> Charge Nurse and or leadership experience</li><li><b>
Required Education: </b>Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions, or extensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
</li><li><b>Preferred Education: </b>Masters in Nursing</li><li><b>
Required License:</b> Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
