Job Description 
Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician / Courier to join our team!
The Laboratory Technician / Courier supports laboratory operations by applying general laboratory techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in accordance with Eurofins Built Environment Testing&rsquo;s Quality Assurance programs and standard procedures. The role includes maintaining laboratory and storage areas, equipment, and supplies. Additionally, the technician may handle courier duties such as picking up and delivering samples, receiving and signing Chain of Custody documentation, navigating to client sites using provided directions, and ensuring the courier vehicle is properly maintained, including organizing any necessary servicing or repairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Performs laboratory support and sample preparation which may include, but is not limited to:<ul><li>
Aliquot samples or reagents</li><li>
Preparation and QC of buffers and reagents including use of pH meter and autoclave.</li><li>
Prepare concentrations or dilutions.</li><li>
Sample filtration.</li><li>
Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.</li><li>
Prepares general laboratory documentation using Good Documentation Practices.</li><li>
Stock and rotate laboratory supplies, maintain sample storage and disposal.</li><li>
Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>
Assists other laboratory areas as needed.</li><li>
Verification of laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality.</li><li>
Maintenance of stock cultures using sterile techniques.</li></ul> 
 Courier responsibilities may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following:<ul><li>
Pick up and deliver samples to and from the laboratory.</li><li>
Receive and sign the Chain of Custody.</li><li>
Use directions or maps to locate client sites as specified.</li><li>

Qualifications

Additional Information

The compensation range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on level of experience.

JOB SUMMARY
Communicates and directs the timely movement of laboratory specimens, reports and supplies between client locations, DLS Patient Service Centers (PSC) and DLS testing laboratories. Transports laboratory specimens, reports and supplies to designated locations in a safe and timely manner. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Coordinates the communication of delivery and pick-up requirements with internal and external customers and directs the delivery and pick-up activities of couriers. (50%)<ul><li>
Utilizes the Dispatch Tracking System to manage pick-up and delivery requests.</li><li>
Dispatches various types of requests and information, such as routine/STAT specimen pickups, supply orders, reports, airport cargo, special deliveries, client updates and traffic and weather alerts.</li><li>
