<div>Seasonal Laborer Operator
West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill multiple Seasonal Laborer positions. 
 
Seasonal Laborers perform a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, and operate a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, and maintenance of township parks, cemeteries, and roads. 
 
Duties include mowing, landscaping, road and park maintenance, event setup, and public bathroom detailing. 
 
The time of employment will occur from April through October; we are flexible with school schedules. Candidates must be able to work weekends. A standard schedule is Sunday-Thursday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Monday-Friday. The time of the shift varies. Most weeks will be 40-hour weeks with some flexibility and opportunity for overtime. 
 
Must be 16 years or older to apply. A valid driver&rsquo;s license is a requirement for employment. College students looking for summer employment are encouraged to apply. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. 
 
The selection process includes: panel interview, background check, and a drug screen.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Utilities Division is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Laborer to support the Utilities team in performing a variety of manual labor tasks in support of utility services, including maintenance and construction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Manually dig trenches for underground utility lines using shovels and by hand as required.</li><li>Haul dirt, sand, and grass using wheelbarrows.</li><li>Spread and level dirt and sand.</li><li>Perform site clean-up duties such as: Sweeping, shoveling, throwing away trash, using power washer to clean driveways and sidewalks.</li><li>Operate hand and power tools.</li><li>Load and unload miscellaneous materials used at the jobsite.</li><li>Flagging traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.</li><li>Carry out safety policies in place to avoid site hazards (setting up cones, moving material and equipment off driveways and sidewalks, wearing required PPE).</li><li>Perform other laborer duties as instructed by the supervisor.</li><li>Follow all safety policies and guidelines set by HJD Capital Electric.</li></ul>
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSQUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>1 year of experience working as a Utility Laborer.</li><li>Basic knowledge and experience operating hand and power tools.</li><li>Must have reliable transportation.</li><li>Experience working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold).</li><li>Physical capability to carry up to 50 lbs. and perform manual labor.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and initiative to perform additional tasks when needed.</li><li>Must have a safety-first mindset to identify and mitigate potential hazards.</li><li>Preferred: Valid CDL holder.</li><li>Preferred: Underground utility experience.</li><li>Preferred: Heavy equipment operating skills.</li><li>Preferred: Carpentry or welding skills.</li></ul>
