<div>Landscape Supervisor

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for field landscape operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. The Supervisor directly supervises field labor force, including laborers/craft workers, including Foreman. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. 


The Landscape Supervisor should have the knowledge to oversee the construction of Public Roads, Highways, Public Parks and Sports Fields. The functionalities of irrigation systems and controllers. Projects range from $500,000 to $30,000,000. The oversight will include but not be limited to the following Trades: 

Earthwork, Grading, Underground Utilities; Sewer, Water, Storm Drain, Masonry, Landscape Irrigation, Concrete Flatwork, Concrete Structures, Electrical, and Asphalt. 

What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force including Foreman on project sites;</li>
<li>Inspection of Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with Contract;</li>
<li>Review and approve Payment Applications with Project Manager;</li>
<li>Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer;</li>
<li>Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager;</li>
<li>Conduct quality inspections;</li>
<li>Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.</li>
<li>Monitor costs, including labor time and material;</li>
<li>Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program and Fleet Program;</li>
<li>Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others;</li>
<li>Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates;</li>
<li>Prepare and submit the Supervisor&rsquo;s Daily Reports;</li>
<li>Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings from Pre-Construction to Project Closeout.</li>

REQUIREMENTS
 
&bull; Minimum: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
<ul><li>Ability to problem-solve and apply solutions using common design and construction materials and
</li></ul>procedures
<ul><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD civil 3d, Microsoft and Adobe software Suites. Proficient
</li></ul>experience with Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam software
<ul><li>SketchUp and Revit skills are a plus
</li></ul><ul><li>Increasing ability to produce graphically accurate illustrative drawings and renderings.
</li></ul><ul><li>Some knowledge of building, permitting and environmental codes as they apply to site development
</li></ul>and site planning, and familiarity with relevant resources
<ul><li>Experience with bidding and contract processes and requirements
</li></ul><ul><li>Awareness of contract requirements, construction and design law and liability concerns

 Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer - Irrigation/Landscape to join our team! In this role you will provide all necessary assistance concerning all landscape and irrigation networks related works including design review and construction supervision works under the guidance of the PMC Team Leader.
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Extensive knowledge in the names and types of softscape &amp; hardscape items with the requirement for each.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review landscape, hardscape and irrigation networks technical design packages and provide comments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and comments on the landscape, hardscape and irrigation network Engineering submittals (shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare reports, manuals and guideline documents pertaining to specific landscape &amp; hardscape issues as required by the client.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide support to the Construction Supervision team and as a client representative, oversee landscape &amp; hardscape construction services.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with Landscape &amp; hardscape Design Consultants and Contractors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with other relevant disciplines such as Engineers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Architects etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend weekly / monthly meetings as necessary with specific regard to landscape and HSSE issues
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with Key Stakeholders to ensure a smooth handover of Landscape &amp; hardscape assets on completion of works
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide Landscape &amp; hardscape input to weekly / monthly reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the timely review of all documents submitted by the Consultant and/or Contractor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inform the Landscape Design Architect and/or Team Leader of any potential delays in the project completion or milestones.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in all site safety training and comply with all site safety protocols.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide all necessary on-site direction and assist the Construction Manager to issue site instructions for Landscape &amp; hardscape, irrigation and associated items.
 </li>
 <li>
 Check and measure the performed work in his/her line of work, record and help the Team Leader to display progress vs programmed work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure correctness and completeness of &lsquo;As-Built&rsquo; drawings within his/her line of work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct site inspections and provide measures to improve the aesthetics of the site and Landscape &amp; hardscape works

 What Required Skills You&rsquo;ll Bring

 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil/Agriculture/Architecture Engineering or equivalent.
 </li>
 <li>
 Candidate must possess the Equivalency certificate issued from the Ministry of Education (UAE).
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 10 years work experience in construction. operation and maintenance of parks and landscape projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in hardscape detailing such as design and specifications for all external finishes, level changes, walls, minor structures, drainage, water features etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in softscape &amp; hardscape detailing such as design and specification of all plant materials, planting medium, preparation of the site, contours &amp; grading and control of all horticultural practices for installation works.
