<div>Landscape Supervisor

The Landscape Supervisor is responsible for field landscape operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project. The Supervisor directly supervises field labor force, including laborers/craft workers, including Foreman. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. 


The Landscape Supervisor should have the knowledge to oversee the construction of Public Roads, Highways, Public Parks and Sports Fields. The functionalities of irrigation systems and controllers. Projects range from $500,000 to $30,000,000. The oversight will include but not be limited to the following Trades: 

Earthwork, Grading, Underground Utilities; Sewer, Water, Storm Drain, Masonry, Landscape Irrigation, Concrete Flatwork, Concrete Structures, Electrical, and Asphalt. 

What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force including Foreman on project sites;</li>
<li>Inspection of Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with Contract;</li>
<li>Review and approve Payment Applications with Project Manager;</li>
<li>Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer;</li>
<li>Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager;</li>
<li>Conduct quality inspections;</li>
<li>Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.</li>
<li>Monitor costs, including labor time and material;</li>
<li>Communicate and enforce Safety and Health Management Program and Fleet Program;</li>
<li>Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others;</li>
<li>Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates;</li>
<li>Prepare and submit the Supervisor&rsquo;s Daily Reports;</li>
<li>Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings from Pre-Construction to Project Closeout.</li>

<ul><li>Report directly to the General Superintendent on a regular basis for any major issues or problems beyond your authority or ability.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Complete Disciplinary Actions Forms as needed</li></ul>

<ul><li>Prepare Baseline Schedules with PM Team and provide weekly Updates on Actual Start and Actual Finish of each activity. KASA uses Primavera P6 for project scheduling.</li></ul>

 Proficient in softscape &amp; hardscape detailing such as design and specification of all plant materials, planting medium, preparation of the site, contours &amp; grading and control of all horticultural practices for installation works.

As crew lead, you&rsquo;ll help guide that meeting&mdash;checking in with team members about their assignments and making sure trucks are properly loaded for the day&rsquo;s project. Once you hit the road, you&rsquo;ll lead your crew on a landscape construction projects throughout coastal Rhode Island with a focus on Newport.You&rsquo;ll work closely with our Site Foreman to manage workflow, maintain quality and safety standards, and keep projects running smoothly. You&rsquo;ve spent 3&ndash;5 years in landscape construction, with experience in hardscaping, planting, and leading small teams. You can read a landscape plan, operate power tools safely, and know how to keep a crew moving efficiently.
