All duties of Landscape Technician III, as well as -

Assists with leading the construction team, including hiring/recruiting, career development/mentoring, training and development of technical skills, and safety program awareness

Supports the scheduling of landscape construction projects, along with helping supervise landscape construction personnel to complete those projects, which may involve the installation of drainage systems, irrigation systems, paving or walkways, landscape lighting, landscape plant materials such as trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants according to specifications.

Works to control costs related to labor, equipment, and material for all landscape construction projects and assigns equipment and work to individual associates.

Also, with the other Landscape managers, supervisors, and coordinators, helps coordinate snow removal teams and order and maintain snow removal materials and equipment.

Assists in generating reports and documentation associated with landscape construction.

Assists in training and development of programs for employees.

</li>
Helps maintain the inventory of topsoil, mulch, firewood and other landscape materials and supplies.

Helps maintain the compost and brush bins, and 4th Nine disposal/storage site, which may include working with outside contractors for periodic disposal of materials.

Observe all written standard operating procedures to provide a safe working environment for self, other associates, guests and the general public.

In the absence of the associate&rsquo;s supervisor, this position will assume supervisory responsibilities of the construction team.

This is a full-time position with shifts varying between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Skills/Requirements<ul><li>
High school education or equivalent with working knowledge of specific discipline&rsquo;s practices</li><li>
College degree preferred, specifically Associate Degree in Horticulture or similar discipline. Field experience in related industry will also be considered</li><li>
Minimum of 2 years experience in landscape</li><li>
Previous supervisory or leadership experience required, including strong leadership ability and excellent communication skills.1-2 years previous supervisory experience preferred</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel, and Power Point applications.</li><li>
Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a category 3.0 WDATCP pesticide applicators certificate within 3 months of hire</li><li>
