We take pride in helping residential and commercial properties throughout Ohio look and feel their best. Our team combines years of experience with a passion for lawn care to deliver results that keep lawns healthy and safe throughout every season. We make it a point to treat our customers' properties like our own and ensure that the end result not only meets but exceeds their expectations.
 
Hours: 
<ul>
<li>8-hour shift</li>
<li>Monday to Friday</li>
<li>Saturday’s as needed no Sunday’s</li>
</ul>
Wages: $16 to $20 per hour depending on experience. Experience and ODA licensing will be compensated.

Job Functions
 Lawn Squad provides lawncare, landscaping, and fertilizing along with pest and mosquito services throughout the greater Cleveland area. This involves customer communication, answering questions and customer concerns. Requires a neat, clean personal appearance and supporting a clean work vehicle and equipment.
 
Company relationships
 
The lawn technician collaborates with other staff members in the branch who can help resolve a customer’s concern.
 
Lawn Technician Duties (included but not limited to)
 
<ul>
<li>Collaborating with customers to ensure their property meets their expectations.</li>
<li>Always be honest and respectful to customers.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other staff as part of a team effort and sharing the responsibilities.</li>
<li>Performing treatments to the customer’s lawn using proper equipment and techniques while showing professionalism.</li>
<li>Ability to explain the Lawn Squad programs to the customer or prospective customer with honesty, accuracy, and integrity.</li>
<li>Conduct service calls using the outlined Lawn Squad procedures.</li>
<li>Stay in contact with customers to prevent lawn problems.</li>
<li>Ensure the service vehicle and all equipment are used and maintained in a clean and safe condition.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license with minimal infractions in the last 3 years.</li>
<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds or more throughout the day.</li>
<li>Project a professional image to the public.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to working the required hours each day to ensure that branch production goals are consistently met.</li>
</ul>
The lawn service technician handles offering new services to both existing and potential clients, performing initial problem assessments, and suggesting suitable solutions. The lawn service technician may also enlist the help of anyone at the branch for help.

The Plant Health Care (PHC) Specialist is responsible for monitoring, diagnosing, and treating plant health issues using environmentally responsible practices. This role involves applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to trees, shrubs, and lawns to promote their health and vitality. 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Perform plant health assessments and diagnose pest, disease, and nutrient deficiencies.</li>
<li>Apply appropriate treatments, including fertilizers, pesticides, and soil amendments, in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.</li>
<li>Use integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to minimize environmental impact.</li>
<li>Operate and maintain spray equipment, injection tools, and other application machinery.</li>
<li>Provide customer education on plant health care best practices and treatment plans.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of treatments, observations, and client interactions.</li>
<li>Follow all safety procedures and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.</li>
<li>Assist with general tree care and landscaping tasks as needed.</li></ul> 


Qualifications:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in horticulture, arboriculture, forestry, or a related field is a plus.</li>
<li>Previous experience in plant health care, landscaping, or tree care preferred.</li>
<li>Pesticide applicator&rsquo;s license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of plant health issues, pest identification, and treatment methods.</li>
<li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Good communication and customer service skills.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.</li>
<li>Must be able to maintain first aid certification.</li>
