A Laundry Attendant is responsible for supporting laundry operations and providing pressing, sewing, and similar services to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. 
 
 
What will I be doing? 
As a Laundry Attendant, you are responsible for supporting laundry operations and providing pressing, sewing, and other similar services to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Laundry Attendant will also be required to manage and respond to guest requests. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:<ul>
<li>Ensure support is provided to the laundry function when required</li>
<li>Complete wash cycles, folding of linen and correct storage</li>
<li>Manage guest requests in line with company brand standards and one call delivery deadline</li>
<li>Greet guests in public areas and rooms in a warm and friendly manner</li>
<li>Provide laundry, pressing, sewing, and other similar services to guests</li>
<li>Ensure soiled and damaged linen is stored in soiled bags and disposed of correctly</li>
<li>Maintain linen room and uniform store - Ensure floors are stocked with the correct amount of each linen items</li>
<li>Ensure chemicals are used and stored correctly</li>
<li>Report maintenance and hazard issues</li>
<li>Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation</li></ul>

As Laundry Attendant, you will need to:
General Responsibility:<ul><li>Communicate in a friendly, tactful and professional manner with guests, suppliers as well as colleagues.</li><li>Provide information regarding the hotel&rsquo;s facilities &amp; services.</li><li>Be informed and keep your supervisor informed of all matters that may affect your work, the hotel&rsquo;s service or reputation.</li><li>Always present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel&rsquo;s grooming standards.</li><li>Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area and/or roster to meet business needs.</li><li>Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to guests as well as suppliers and your colleagues.</li><li>Care about your environment and make sure it is tidy and well maintained.</li><li>Be reliable and ensure you are at work on time.</li><li>Know your role in case of emergency such as bomb threat, flood, fire etc.</li><li>Understand the Employee Handbook and comply with the standards it outlines.</li><li>Carry out all professionally reasonable instruction given by your supervisor.</li><li>Report all incidents, accidents and guest complaints in briefings.</li><li>Perform other extra job requested by superior as long as the request is reasonable and will not affect your health, safety or security.</li></ul>
Technical Expertise:<ul><li>Together with Housekeeping Storekeeper to do linen and uniform inventory.</li><li>Do proper check regularly in order to get linen &amp; uniform stock sufficiently and with usable condition.</li><li>Report to Housekeeping Storekeeper should any shortage of stock to be followed up.</li><li>To check new uniform when arrive from tailor for both quantity and quality.</li><li>Report to seamstress to do small repair for uniform, such as: re-fix button, sew small tears, etc.</li><li>To issue correct &amp; good uniform to staff with natural smile.</li><li>To keep a record of staff linen washing record and send a monthly report to Laundry Manager.</li><li>To issue winter jackets, lost luggage kit etc. if any request from HK Coordinator or FO staff for the guest and keep a record file and alert in Opera.</li><li>To do small in-house laundry job for very special or express laundry process if possible.</li><li>Ask advice from housekeeping leaders whenever guidance or assistance is required.</li></ul>
 
Lost &amp; found:<ul><li>Anything found in the guest laundry or staff uniform to be informed Supervisor or coordinator</li><li>Handle the lost &amp; found if you find in the guest laundry or in uniform.</li><li>Update the Lost &amp; Found in the register book</li></ul> 
Key handling:<ul><li>Sign out the key tracking log book when you take the key</li><li>Do not open for any one by your master key</li><li>At the end of your shift return the key and sign in</li></ul></div></div><div> 
Qualifications<div>
