As a <b>Law Enforcement Officer III (First Sergeant)</b> in the SCDES' Shellfish Monitoring Program, you will combine environmental science, public health protection, and law enforcement leadership while serving the Myrtle Beach Region. Under limited supervision, you will lead up to <b>two subordinate officers</b>, oversee the <b>regional Shellfish Program</b>, coordinate patrols and inspections, and conduct enforcement activities on coastal waterways.<br>

This role requires enforcing environmental and shellfish sanitation laws, conducting investigations, overseeing sampling programs, preparing technical reports, and representing the agency in administrative and court proceedings - all while working outdoors, on the water, and <b>directly with the communities we serve</b>.</div></div><div><b><br>
What You&rsquo;ll Do</b><br>
