The South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, <b>Behavioral Science Unit</b>, is seeking an instructor to research, develop, and deliver law enforcement training for basic and advanced officers, investigators, and other assigned groups.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Duties include:</b></div><ul><li>
Plan, develop, coordinate, and instruct training programs. Serves as a primary instructor for Basic Instructor Development (BID) and Specific Skills Instructor (SSI). Serves as a backup instructor for Field Training Officer Management (FTO), Human Trafficking, and CDV Investigations.</li><li>
Review and grade pre-qualification requirements and post-course summaries; support Academy instructors with best practices in curriculum development.</li><li><div>
Instruct report writing and courtroom procedures, and fair and impartial policing. Conduct and evaluate practical problem-based scenarios using firearms training simulations and Crisis House simulations, nighttime response, and range safety officer.</div></li><li><div>
Develop and deliver new training programs based on emerging trends and best practices to enhance public safety.</div></li><li><div>
Ensure compliance with Academy standards, testing requirements, and student discipline policies.</div></li><li><div>
Perform assigned law enforcement duties, including ride-alongs and assisting partner agencies as needed.</div></li><li><div>
Communicate effectively with staff, students, and partner agencies to support instructional and operational goals.</div></li></ul><div><b>

Experience must include two (2) years of road experience <b><i>and</i></b></li><li>
