<div>What You Will Be Doing:
Construction, Repair &amp; Maintenance<ul><li>
Install and repair doors, windows, and related hardware, including locking mechanisms and keying systems.</li><li>
Maintain and repair roofs, walls, ceilings, floors, drywall, siding, and acoustical systems.</li><li>
Repair and maintain concrete, masonry, and finish materials across park facilities and structures.</li></ul>
Specialized Carpentry Functions<ul><li>
Locksmith: Build, maintain, and repair doors, windows, and locking systems (mechanical and electronic), including re-glazing.</li><li>
Cabinetmaker: Build and install finish materials such as cabinets, millwork, tile, laminate, furniture, signs, and partitions.</li><li>
Framer/Drywaller: Construct and remodel structural components (walls, roofs, decks, etc.) and install sheathing, drywall, insulation, and related materials; provide guidance to helpers.</li></ul>
Tools, Equipment &amp; Project Coordination<ul><li>
Operate and maintain carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment.</li><li>
Plan and coordinate projects by evaluating work requests, estimating, and scheduling labor, materials, and equipment.</li><li>
Maintain basic records, including daily logs.</li></ul>

Provide excellent customer service and serve as a representative of the Parks and Recreation Division.</li><li>

<ul><li>Knowledge of the qualities, grades, uses and adaptability of various woods, wood products and related materials used in all types of carpentry</li><li>
Journey-level knowledge of and skills in the carpentry trade</li><li>

Demonstrated skill in the use and care of the tools and equipment used in the trade</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:

<div>Working Conditions:<ul><li>
Work Location: 3005 NE 4th St. Renton, Washington &ndash; Parks Central Maintenance Facility</li><li>
Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.</li><li>
Union Representation: This position is represented by Joint Crafts Council, Local Carpenters 206.</li></ul>
