</b></h2><p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a <b>Senior Electrical Engineer </b>to join our <b>Industrial Center of Excellence (ICoE) </b>team This position will be based out of our <b>Boise, ID, Madison, WI, Overland Park, KS, or our Minneapolis, MN office. </b>Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment or remote for the right candidate.
</p><p>In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team leading and executing the electrical power components of industrial and government projects. The position involves creating and issuing construction drawings and specifications, bills of material, construction cost estimates, power system studies and reports. Well qualified candidates will demonstrate solid working design knowledge of grounding, lightning and surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation, low and medium voltage motor control centers and switchgear, medium voltage substations, mission-critical power systems, and UPS systems. Thorough knowledge and experience with the NEC, NFPA documents, ICC documents, energy codes, and applicable IEEE standards are required. Experience with modeling electrical systems and running power system studies using ETAP, PTW, or EasyPower is strongly preferred. Team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication and presentation skills, personal motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently are key attributes.

</p><ul><li>Determine well-defined methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data relating to substation components, equipment specifications for procurement package development and pricing, IFR/IRC detailed design and review processes, and IEEE/NESC Standards/NERC regulations for design work.
</li><li>In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team leading and executing the electrical power components of industrial and government projects.
</li><li>Perform professional and more complex electrical engineering work relating to the design of single line, three line, wiring diagrams, general arrangement, substation layout and bus arrangement, grounding grid design and lightning protection in conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits.
</li><li>Incorporate future-ready techniques, concept development, operating strategies, and various design requirements with equipment sizing and cabling, AC/DC panel design, and conduit and trenching design strategies that account for the safety and functionality of end-users, systems, and infrastructure.
</li><li>Support senior engineers with research and recommendations of components identified in design requirements, as well as field equipment applications and operations.
</li><li>Verify the characteristics of a site, providing technical input and guidance on various engineering, design, testing maintenance modifications, and construction procedures and issues.
</li><li>Develop electrical calculations for loads, equipment sizing, grounding touch and step potentials, short circuit study, protective device coordination, one-line diagram development, protective relaying, and substation switchyard layouts.
</li><li>Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates; preparing construction safety and phasing plans, and updating electrical infrastructure layout plans that require coordination with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.

</p><p><b>Required Qualifications
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
</li><li>5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for large capital projects.
</li><li>Engineer in Training Certification.
</li><li>Experience working with Operations and project controls for purposes of reporting and proposal development.
</li><li>Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
</li><li>Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including active involvement in a variety of rehabilitation and new design projects.

<div><p>The AFCAP Site Manager (SM) at Abu Dhabi Air Base is accountable for the end-to-end execution of the Engineering Support Services (ESS) contract, ensuring all operational, financial, and contractual requirements are delivered in full compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) standards, USAF expectations, and Amentum corporate objectives. This role provides on-site leadership and strategic direction to a multi-disciplinary workforce, serves as the primary interface with U.S. Air Force stakeholders, and drives performance across safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction. The Site Manager ensures alignment with AFCAP program goals by integrating operational excellence with disciplined cost controls and proactive customer engagement in a dynamic OCONUS environment.</p><p><b>
Essential Responsibilities:</b><br>
Lead and manage all site operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of engineering and construction-related services; serve as the primary point of contact with USAF leadership and contracting representatives; oversee planning, scheduling, and delivery of all PWS requirements; enforce safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards; manage site-level forecasting, and cost control; direct and develop a multi-disciplinary workforce to maintain proper staffing, accountability, and performance; identify and mitigate operational and contractual risks; manage subcontractors, vendors, and supply chain activities; and ensure timely, accurate reporting and communication with AFCAP program leadership while continuously driving improvements in performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.</p><p><b>
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:</b></p><ul>

The SM shall be a USN and have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience related to the requirements and qualifications necessary to manage and perform the task.</li>
