Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Analyzes malfunctions and repairs, rebuilds and maintains power equipment, such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, pneumatic tools, and tracked/wheeled vehicles.</li><li><div>
Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment, using hoists and hand tools, examines parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges, replaces defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions, and tests overhauled equipment to insure operating efficiency.</div></li><li><div>
The mechanic welds broken parts and structural members may direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment, and may repair, adjust and maintain mining machinery, such as stripping and loading shovels, drilling and cutting machines, and continuous mining machines.</div></li><li>
Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.</li><li><div>
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors.</div></li><li><div>
Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.</div></li><li><div>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Must have a minimum of 5 years heavy equipment maintenance experience.</li><li>
Must have knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.</li><li>
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.</li><li>
Must be able to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.</li><li>
Must be able to bring and use your own tools.</li><li>
Must have a minimum of a high school Diploma / GED.</li></ul>
