Lead Medical Scribe Summary:
As the Lead of the clinic Scribe team, you will be responsible for the oversight and supervision of Scribe staff, along with assisting in the everyday duties of a Medical Scribe. This would include ensuring implementation and compliance with all company policies, onboarding and training new employees, and providing guidance and counseling to all Scribe staff. Other clerical functions of the role will include maintaining timecards, processing PTO requests, creating and managing employee schedules, and troubleshooting basic computer and EMR problems. 
Your goals of building and maintaining a successful team will be aided by the Clinic Administrator who is a resource for troubleshooting issues and providing support. 
Lead Medical Scribe Requirements:<ul><li>
Familiarity with computers and the ability to type a minimum of 50 word per minute.</li><li>
Ability to spell accurately and type professional documents using correct grammar and punctuation.</li><li>
A basic understanding of medical terminology.</li><li>
Experience in a leadership role, involving training of new employees.</li></ul>

Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infect control practices as appropriate. Displays knowledge of various drugs and contrast media utilized. Compiles data and documentation to distribute scheduled and requested reports.</li><li>

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
OR
Registered as a Pharmacist Intern with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) 
Preferred:
2 or more years of retail pharmacy experience preferred 
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Pharmacy Technologist assists pharmacists in providing drug distribution, technical services, and clinical services associated with the preparation, storage, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals. The Senior Pharmacy Technologist provides technical support and addresses problems related to the assigned area and only passes complex issues to the relevant Lead Pharmacy Technologist and/or Supervisor as needed.
