 Position Summary
 
 
 
 The Lead Anesthesia Technician/Technologist will report to the Assistant Director of Main Operating Room and works under the direction of the Anesthesiologist. The Lead Anesthesia Technician/Technologist is responsible for the supervision of all other Anesthesia Techs to ensure routine duties are performed in a timely manner and in accordance with practice standards.
 
 
 The Lead Anesthesia Technologist/Technician is responsible for the following:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Collaborates with the Charge Nurse in surgical and procedural areas to prioritize room turnover and set-up of anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures with efficient and effective use of available resources.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinates Anesthesia Tech activities, and delegates daily duties and assignments to facilitate efficient workflow and assistance with anesthesia care for patients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitates training of new hire employees and continuing education for Anesthesia Tech staff.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develops standard work, determines work priorities and schedules to provide adequate staff coverage.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works to resolve challenges encountered during daily operations and determines appropriate solutions; promotes teamwork.
 </li>
 <li>
 Encourages regular communication, informs nursing staff of relevant workflow issues.
 </li>
 <li>
 Serves as a resource and role model and helps resolve interpersonal conflicts.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists anesthesia providers and nurses by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must maintain proficiency in the application, acquisition, preparation, and troubleshooting of various types of equipment required for the delivery of anesthesia care.

 A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Anesthesia Technician at acute care hospital preferred.

Lead Medical Scribe Summary:
As the Lead of the clinic Scribe team, you will be responsible for the oversight and supervision of Scribe staff, along with assisting in the everyday duties of a Medical Scribe. This would include ensuring implementation and compliance with all company policies, onboarding and training new employees, and providing guidance and counseling to all Scribe staff. Other clerical functions of the role will include maintaining timecards, processing PTO requests, creating and managing employee schedules, and troubleshooting basic computer and EMR problems. 
Your goals of building and maintaining a successful team will be aided by the Clinic Administrator who is a resource for troubleshooting issues and providing support.

ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE: 
The Lead Medical Assistant will support various providers, advanced providers, and registered nurses to provide excellent patient-centered care and services within a dynamic team environment. This role will work with clinical supervisors and nurses to provide training to new and less experienced medical assistants (MA). Additionally, it communicates with patients and performs clinical services to ensure high quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Patient Care
<ul>
<li>Impacts patient experience by demonstrating courteous and helpful behavior and a commitment to accuracy</li>
<li>Responds promptly and with caring actions to patients and employees</li>
<li>Maintains professional working relationships with all levels of staff, clients and the public</li>
</ul>
Provider and Team Support
<ul>
<li>Works with registered nursed to train and mentor new medical assistants in the back-office area to ensure all tasks on the training checklist are complete</li>
<li>Shares accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with Care Teams</li>
<li>Operates to instill confidence in our care and in our facilities to patients, fellow employees, and other stakeholders</li>
<li>Contributes to the success of the organization by participating in quality improvement activities</li>
<li>Cooperates in accomplishing department goals and objectives</li>
</ul>
Clinical Administration
<ul>
<li>Monitors patient flow in the back office and cross covering, as needed.</li>
<li>Adjusts daily assignments and schedules to provide sufficient MA coverage during all patient contact times, including lunch breaks</li>
<li>Maintains sufficient supplies to perform tasks in the back-office area</li>
<li>Monitors the daily assignment for completing tasks, such as recording of daily temperatures of refrigerators/freezers, stocking exam rooms, empty sharps containers and infectious waste, and other related tasks</li>
<li>Reports equipment failures and responds appropriately to correct the problem</li>
<li>Provides input into the evaluations of the Medical Assistants working in the back-office</li>
<li>Leads back-office meetings and attends other required meetings</li>
<li>Functions at highest level according to credentials and competency</li>
</ul>
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>High school/GED required</li>
<li>Valid medical assistant certificate/diploma from an accredited program required</li>
<li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. These courses must follow AHA guidelines, but may be completed through approved online providers such as ProMed or other equivalent programs that meet recognized BLS standards.</li>
<li>Two years medical assistant experience required</li>
<li>Lead or supervisory experience preferred</li>
</ul>
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
<ul>
<li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior composition, typing, and proofreading skills</li>
<li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form</li>
<li>Familiarity with medical procedures and terminology</li>
<li>Proficiency with electronic health records system experience preferred</li>
<li>Intermediate computer and data entry skills</li>
<li>Must use sound judgement to anticipate needs of patients and providers</li>
<li>Flexibility with changing priorities and time sensitive deadlines</li>
<li>Use emotional and cultural intelligence to provide appropriate communication and patient care</li>
<li>Exemplify compassion to patients and team members</li>
<li>Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously</li>
<li>Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently</li>
<li>Ability to work with highly confidential information in a professional and ethical manner</li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

<li>Ability to lift/carry 15 lbs/weight</li>
<li>Ability to stand for long periods of time</li>
</ul>
Pay Range: $27.21 - $38.10/hr, depending on experience (DOE)
