The role requires strong classroom leadership, child-centric teaching practices, and effective collaboration with parents and staff to ensure holistic child development.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic &amp; Classroom Responsibilities<ul><li>Plan and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans in accordance with the school&rsquo;s early years curriculum.</li></ul><ul><li>Create a structured, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment that supports cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.</li></ul><ul><li>Observe, assess, and document each child&rsquo;s progress using approved assessment tools and formats.</li></ul><ul><li>Differentiate instruction to accommodate varied learning needs and developmental levels.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain accurate academic records, portfolios, and progress reports.</li></ul>Child Development &amp; Well-being<ul><li>Ensure the safety, emotional security, and well-being of children at all times.</li></ul><ul><li>Children must never be left unattended under any circumstances.</li></ul><ul><li>Implement positive guidance and classroom management strategies aligned with early childhood best practices.</li></ul><ul><li>Identify developmental concerns and communicate observations responsibly to the Centre Head and parents.</li></ul><ul><li>Immediately report any safety, health, or child protection concerns as per school protocols.</li></ul>Parent Communication<ul><li>Maintain regular and professional communication with parents regarding academic progress, behaviour, and development.</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in parent-teacher meetings, orientations, workshops, and school events.</li></ul><ul><li>Support parent engagement initiatives as planned by the school.</li></ul><ul><li>All parent communication must align with school policies; no independent assurances or commitments may be made without approval.</li></ul>Team Leadership &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Mentor and guide the Assistant Teacher in classroom practices and routines.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with the staff to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery.</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and professional development sessions.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; School Policies<ul><li>Adhere strictly to school policies, safety protocols, child protection guidelines, and statutory requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain confidentiality of student and preschool information.</li></ul><ul><li>Support audit, inspection, and accreditation processes when required.</li></ul><ul><li>Comply with all escalation, reporting, and documentation procedures defined by the school.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Early Childhood Education / Child Development / Education or equivalent.</li></ul><ul><li>Diploma or certification in Montessori / ECCE / Early Years Education preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in a preschool or early years setting.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and classroom practices.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong classroom management and observation skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in lesson planning, documentation, and assessments.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with teams.</li></ul><ul><li>Professional ethics, patience, and emotional intelligence.</li></ul>Work Conditions<ul><li>Working hours as per school calendar and academic schedule.</li></ul><ul><li>The role involves active supervision of young children, standing for extended periods, and engagement in classroom and outdoor activities.</li></ul><ul><li>May require participation in events, training sessions, and parent engagements beyond regular hours.</li></ul><ul><li>Performance will be reviewed periodically as per school policy, including during the probation period.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
