<li>Establishing contact and coordination with other divisions within the Department of Legal Affairs, or other law enforcement or regulatory agencies, for he purpose of pursuing necessary civil or administrative remedies in appropriate cases.</li>
<li>Preparing and filing charging instruments.</li>
<li>Coordinating, to the extent possible, the surrender or arrest of criminal defendants on the charges filed.</li>
<li>Representing the State at bond hearings.</li>
<li>Determining the scope of discoverable materials, ensuring compliance with applicable discovery requirements, and attending depositions of all witnesses.</li>
<li>Representing the State in pre-trial motion practice and at all calendar calls of the court.</li>
<li>Representation of the State at trial on the charges.</li>
<li>Representation of the State at post-trial hearings and sentencing proceedings.</li>
<li>Establishing and maintaining contact with the Assistant Attorney General assigned to handle appellate matters, assisting where necessary in the preparation of the record on appeal, and in analysis of appellate issues and arguments raised by the defense, or as necessary to the representation of the State's interests.</li>
<li>Requesting, in all cases, the recovery of the costs associated with the prosecution as expended by the Office, and the costs of investigation as expended by the investigating agencies.</li>
<li>Conducting and memorializing post-case review sessions with the investigating agencies and appropriate supervisors to determine effectiveness of the approaches and strategies of the prosecution team.</li>
<li>Participating in the Statewide Grand Jury process under the direct supervision of the Statewide Prosecutor, in appropriate cases.</li>
<li>Following established policies and procedures regarding the operation of the Statewide Grand Jury, including the issuance of subpoenas, travel and expense reimbursement rules, and scheduling of appearances.</li>
<li>Attending and participating in local, regional, and statewide investigative intelligence meetings and task forces, with the consent of the Bureau Chief Assistant, for the purpose of facilitating the implementation and use of the &quot;integrated approach&quot; to combating organized crime.</li>
<li>Attending, at the direction of the Statewide Prosecutor, the &quot;Integrated Approach&quot; panel meetings sponsored by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, when an active case is presented to that panel for acceptance or review.</li>
<li>Maintaining proper documentation, according to Office policy, or all work performed, including intake and case progress forms, organized and indexed pleadings and case files, and current data entry in the automated case tracking system.</li>
