The Law Department consists of three divisions: the City Attorney's Office, the City Prosecutor's Office, and Management Services. The Prosecutor's Office prosecutes misdemeanor crimes that occur within the city of Phoenix. Some examples of these crimes are: DUI, domestic violence, indecent exposure, threats, and criminal damage. The Law Department is currently seeking candidates to fill vacancies in the Prosecutor's Office Victim Services Unit (VSU) and Legal Clerk Unit (LCU).</p><p><b>
Victim Services Unit</b></p><p>
This Unit performs both critical and/or legally mandated functions related to victims' rights such as sending victim notification letters, restitution request processing, ensuring victims have court escorts, and ensuring that emergency services are available and provided to victims. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.</p><p><b>
Legal Clerk Unit</b></p><p>
This Unit collaborates with criminal staff attorneys to prepare and manage cases including document and evidence management, obtaining victim and witness availability for trial, clerical support such as motion filing and subpoenaing, ensuring cases are prepared for the prosecutor at trial. Some positions in this unit may be required to work an alternate schedule to include weekends.</p><p>
The job duties include providing customer service, problem solving, the ability to work cooperatively as part of team, and the ability to communicate effectively. Reviewing files, documents, and printed material for accuracy and completeness; providing information to staff, coworkers or the public via phone and/or email; proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, internet and operating a computer terminal. It also requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stretch, bend and stoop.</p><p><b>

This is the second in a series of four court clerical-related job classifications within the Administrative Support job family. Incumbents perform duties of moderate complexity. This classification is distinguished from Court Clerk Assistant in that incumbents routinely review the work performed by the Court Clerk Assistant, perform fewer general clerical duties and require greater independent judgment. May assess fees and fines, receive payments, and perform as cashier for the office on a daily basis. Accepts monies in the form of cash, money orders and cashier checks and issues signed receipts. Makes daily and monthly reports to reconcile receipts.</li><li>
Uses scanning software to input case information. Captures images and performs quality assurance. Scans incoming legal documents. <p>The State of New Hampshire, Judicial Branch, Superior Court has multiple full-time vacancies for Judicial Clerkship. The primary assignments are at courthouses located in Manchester, Brentwood, Concord, Keene, Dover, Laconia. and Haverhill, NH. </p><p>Arlington County is seeking a <b>Courtroom Clerk (Limited Term) </b>to work for the Clerk of the Circuit Court and to assist the Circuit Court Judges in processing civil and criminal court cases.</p></div>
<br><div><p>Specific duties include:
</p><ul><li>Attending court and preparing the official record of proceedings in all criminal matters, consistent with procedures established by the court;
</li><li>Administering oaths to litigants, jurors and witnesses;
</li><li>Working closely with Circuit Court judges, Sheriff's deputies, probation officers, and attorneys to manage daily court dockets as well as civil and criminal bench and jury trials;
</li><li>Interacting with citizens called to serve jury duty, typically impaneling and swearing in jurors;
</li><li>Preparing large volume of electronically generated documents including criminal court orders, inmate transportation orders, bond instruments, bench warrants, and jail cards for signature by the Circuit Court judges;

<p><b>SUMMARY OF POSITION</b></p><p>Perform the primary work in managing court dockets with a focus in civil and mental health and acting as back up for all court services. Act as liaison between County Court at Law Judge and local attorneys and the public coordinating filings required, in person, digitally or through the e-file portal.
