Participation in the Sonoma County Employee&rsquo;s Retirement Association (SCERA), a 1937 Act Retirement Plan based on PEPRA. The 2025/26 mandatory contribution is 7.7% for employees and 29.9% for the Court. This is a defined benefit plan fully integrated with Social Security.<br>

Vacation Leave:<br>
Regular, full-time employees in benefit unit 02 on paid status accrue vacation at a rate of 3.5 hours per pay period for the first two years (a little over 2 weeks and 1 day each year), with incremental increases to the accrual rate each year through year 5 and additional increases every 5 years thereafter, to year 20. Maximum accrual balance is 376 hours.<br>

High School Diploma or GED</li><li>
Three years of clerical, legal office, or court-related experience</li></ul><div>
OR</div><ul><li>
Two years at the Clerk of the Superior Court as a Justice System Clerk or higher</li><li>
Post-secondary education may substitute for two years of the experience requirement</li></ul><div></div><div>
Job Contributions</div><ul><li>
Attend all sessions of court, record court proceedings in a note-taking manner, and transcribe notes into standard minute entry format within established timeframes</li><li>
Determine the correct parties/agencies entitled to receive copies of minute entries</li><li>
Record and secure exhibits presented for court proceedings</li><li>
Communicate oaths, affirmations, and contents of court documents to court participants</li><li>
Receive, process, and/or issue court documents, including protective orders, jail releases, warrants, and confidential orders</li><li>
Proofread and edited work with a high degree of accuracy and detail</li><li>
Maintain a list of cases under advisement for quarterly submission to the Supreme Court</li><li>
Participate in large group training or one-on-one mentoring</li></ul><div></div><div>
Working Conditions</div><ul><li>
Work is primarily performed in an office setting that consists of a high-volume and fast-paced environment with long periods of sitting while completing computer activities</li><li>
May require occasional weekend work; teleworking based on business needs and supervisor approval</li><li>
Ability to frequently ascend and descend 1-3 steps to the work area, with or without accommodation</li><li>
