Typical duties include bringing the books and other library materials from the outside book drop into the library; pushing shelving carts and placing books onto the library shelves in correct order; straightening shelves; checking shelves to be sure material is in the correct location; picking up books and materials from around library and returning to their correct locations; finding books on the shelf from a list of materials; identifying damaged books or books from other libraries for appropriate action; minor cleaning including picking up trash and dusting shelves; closing windows, checking doors and other duties required to secure the library for the evening; and performs related work as required.</div><div>

Specific duties may be required in different departments. These may include use of the copy machine, labeling shelves or materials, cutting out materials for children's programs, and other work assigned by the supervisor.<br>

<p>The Granby Public Library, is hiring a temporary summer position to join the library team. The successful candidate will gain valuable library experience working in a busy public library, while sharing the joys of summer and our Summer Reading programs with patrons of all ages.
