Orders Library Materials through book dealer and catalogs, including but not limited to print materials, audio and visual materials</li><li>
Maintains updated knowledge of new library materials.</li><li>
Evaluates and maintains library services related to circulation, services and programs</li><li>
Catalogs and processes library materials, properly labels and shelves materials. Recommends policies and procedures to facilitate cataloging.</li><li>
Assists patrons in locating books and helps them acquire books through the Inter-Library Loan Program.</li><li>
Maintains statistical records of Library and prepares quarterly reports; compiles and submits statistical reports for the Tribal Library.</li><li>
Supervise, plans and conducts library related programs for children and young adults, which may include story hour, book clubs, literacy programs, and digital literacy</li><li>
Sends out overdue notices and collects fees.</li><li>
Sets up equipment for events sponsored by the Library.</li><li>
Submits budget requests and monitors expenditures from operating budget.</li></ul><ul><li>
Keeps accurate, up to date work records, produces and compiles reports and statistics as requested.</li><li>
Develops, interprets and enforces Library policies, procedures and regulations for internal and external customers.</li></ul><ul><li>
Verifies material orders for proper ordering information and monitors assigned selection budget allocations.</li><li>
Evaluates, collects and identifies materials that need to be replaced, added, or discarded.</li><li>
Promotes the use of library resources through special programs and activities, instructional tours, and community contacts.</li></ul>

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Minimum Qualifications</h2></div>
<div><ul><li>Education &amp; Experience: A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university in Library Science or closely related field and two (2) years full-time library management work experience in the Library field.<ul><li>
One (1) year full time supervisory or management work experience is required.</li><li>
Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of experience and education that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered when filling the position.</li></ul></li></ul><div><ul><li> 
Underfill Eligibility: An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.</li></ul></div></div>
