EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
<br>Performs maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for library system technology, including but not limited to, public and staff PCs, payment/print kiosks, laptops, tablets, printers/copiers/scanners.Provides technical training, assistance, instruction, and guidance for library technology to both staff and patrons.Collaborates with County ITS and library vendors for technical support, troubleshooting and implementation of new hardware and/or software.On-call every other weekend for technology/computer support.Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Integrated Library System (ILS) and assists Technical Services Librarian with implementation of ILS upgrades.Performs copy cataloging of library materials using bibliographic standards and formats including AACR2, RDA, and MARC.Processes all library materials added to and withdrawn from the library collection.Unpacks, receipts, and invoices large shipments of library materials weighing approximately 20-50 lbs.Assists Technical Services Librarian with database management of bibliographic, item, and patron records.Repairs all library material formats.Performs frontline customer service in the other library departments such as Public Services, Youth services and other branch locations as needed.Attends workshops, webinars, and training as needed or required to acquire or maintain in-depth knowledge of cataloging, library supported software, equipment, and new technologyInventories technology/computer related equipment and supplies.Assists with annual inventory at each library branch, if needed.Performs assigned functions as a Disaster Ready Team (DRT) member, if appointed or volunteered.All other duties as assigned and/or needed.
