A counselor provides clinical counseling (individual, couples and group) to students, incorporating a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral health needs of students as well as provides outreach, prevention and consultation services for the campus community. Working comfortably both individually and as a team member, counselors assist with developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus and provide support and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives.

Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.</li><li>
Provide psychosocial evaluations and psychotherapy/talk therapy sessions for support to residents.</li><li>
Maintain accurate documentation.</li><li>
Provide social support therapy sessions to patients through weekly therapy sessions.</li><li>
Implement therapy plans that fit each patient's personal needs.</li></ul>
Flexible Work Schedule:<ul><li>
Self-determine your schedule between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Friday</li><li>

As a Clinical Therapist working within a secure prison, you will play a pivotal role in addressing the complex mental health and behavioral needs of an incarcerated population. Through the delivery of evidence-based and trauma-informed therapeutic services, you will help individuals confront the underlying factors contributing to criminal behavior, including trauma, substance use, and chronic mental illness. QUALIFICATIONS
The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:<ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in social work, psychology or counseling</li><li>
Must be licensed or able to be licensed as a LCSW or LCPC by the State of Montana.</li><li>
A person with a candidates license must be fully licensed within one year of hire date.</li><li>
