This position will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair and testing of a wide range of electrical or mechanical equipment. This position will assure safe workplace practices are followed at all times and drive safety awareness through leading by example. This includes predictive, preventive and proactive maintenance analysis. He/she must work to all codes and regulations while making equipment installations, adjustments and repairs in plant and office environments as well as assist outside contractors on major projects. This position requires a broad working knowledge of codes pertaining to your specific trade.
Duties and responsibilities:<ul><li> Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.</li><li> Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.</li><li> Inspect all equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.</li><li> Advise supervisor and or management immediately on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous to the facility.</li><li> Test systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.</li><li> Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment as needed to perform job duties.</li><li> Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair equipment, and fixtures.</li><li> Provide assistance during emergencies by operating generators and other critical infrastructure equipment.
</li><li> Respond and troubleshoot equipment problems within the company-owned facilities.</li><li> Improve plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance procedures.</li><li> Participate in Failure Analysis and Vulnerability studies</li><li> Assist in maintaining inspection and maintenance of life safety systems</li><li> Execute equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive)
</li><li> Insure compliance with federal and state codes.</li><li> Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.</li><li> Must be available to report for work during emergency situations such as storms and severe weather conditions.</li><li> Performs routine and preventive maintenance as needed for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of mechanical or electrical systems.</li><li> Other duties or projects as assigned or requested.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li> Active Trade license required (Electrical)</li><li> 3+ years of experience in operations and maintenance of large commercial electrical or mechanical systems</li><li> Willing to work overtime as needed to meet company needs.
</li><li> Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision and effectively complete multiple complicated tasks</li></ul>
Strong communication skills and ability to deal tactfully and efficiently at all levels of the organization.<ul><li> Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills</li><li> Awareness of operational safety requirements in a critical environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulatory bodies.</li><li> Strong desire to be a part of a high growth company with a willing to work in a team environment and a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
</li></ul>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk long distances. The typical pay range for this role is:
$21.10 - $44.99
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
