The Competency Trainer supports the delivery of competency restoration services for inmates with mental illness who have been deemed incompetent to stand trial. This role facilitates structured group sessions focused on legal education, court processes, and the development of skills necessary to assist in one&rsquo;s legal defense.
This position is a shared role and may also support general administrative functions at the site. The Competency Trainer works under the direction of clinical leadership and collaborates closely with mental health, custody, and legal teams to support treatment goals and program compliance.

Facilitate competency restoration groups for inmates, focusing on legal education, court procedures, and ability to assist in their defense.

What we Ask of YOU:
