<div>Amentum is seeking linguists with excellent English skills to grow our talented and diverse team globally towards our mission&rsquo;s success. We are looking for dedicated linguist professionals in a variety of languages/dialects to support our intelligence community customer OCONUS. Linguists will support U.S. military operations in Kuwait as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in an assigned area of responsibility. Linguists will contribute an assortment of language services and will be responsible for providing cultural perspective and understanding of the region's historical, political, sociological, and economic trends to select members of the senior leadership staff.
Principal Responsibilities:<ul>

Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations and interpret during interviews, meeting, and conferences</li>
<li>Transcribe and analyze verbal communications</li>
<li>Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information</li>
<li>Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for Telugu</li>

Job Requirements:<ul>

<li>Must possess excellent command of Telugu &amp; English verbal skills; Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level 3 in target language and proficiency level 2+ in English based on oral and written language skills examination</li>

Job Summary:
Our Linguists perform real-time and/or recorded transcription from Urban English to English in support of sensitive law enforcement work. You will capture accurate, court-ready written products; identify, decode, and document colloquialisms, slang, and coded language; and extract and communicate pertinent information to law enforcement personnel. Work may include transcribing source documents and recordings from multiple storage formats (e.g., digital media, audio, and video). This role is a good fit for linguists and interpreters who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, attention to detail, and clear written documentation are essential.
Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Listen to live or recorded communications in Urban English and produce verbal and written synopses and transcriptions, as required by the project.</li><li>

Build and maintain a master list of slang terms and codes used by a particular group/organization for the duration of the project/case.</li><li>
Build and maintain a voice library for the duration of the project.</li><li>
Transcribe and translate pertinent calls and documents, as assigned by the supervisor.</li><li>
Produce court-ready (accurate, clearly formatted, and complete) transcriptions of pertinent calls, chats, and documents in the required format.</li><li>
Use project reference tools and materials developed during the project to ensure accuracy and consistency.</li><li>
Transcribe a minimum of 16 minutes of recorded conversation in an 8-hour day (per required format and quality standards).</li><li>

Schedule: This is an as‑needed, part‑time essential services position with work contingent upon available projects. When assigned to a project, linguists are expected to support the effort through completion and are typically scheduled to work up to 40 hours per week. Assignments may require day and/or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:
Our Linguists perform real-time and/or recorded transcription from K'iche'/Quich&eacute; to English in support of sensitive law enforcement work. You will capture accurate, court-ready written products; identify, decode, and document colloquialisms, slang, and coded language; and extract and communicate pertinent information to law enforcement personnel. Work may include transcribing source documents and recordings from multiple storage formats (e.g., digital media, audio, and video). This role is a good fit for linguists and interpreters who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, attention to detail, and clear written documentation are essential.
Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Listen to live or recorded communications in K'iche'/Quich&eacute; and produce verbal and written synopses and transcriptions, as required by the project.</li><li>
Communicate pertinent information to the Client (law enforcement personnel) in a timely manner when supporting live monitoring.</li><li>
Build and maintain a master list of slang terms and codes used by a particular group/organization for the duration of the project/case.</li><li>
Build and maintain a voice library for the duration of the project.</li><li>
Transcribe and translate pertinent calls and documents, as assigned by the supervisor.</li><li>
Produce court-ready (accurate, clearly formatted, and complete) transcriptions of pertinent calls, chats, and documents in the required format.</li><li>
Use project reference tools and materials developed during the project to ensure accuracy and consistency.</li><li>
Transcribe a minimum of 16 minutes of recorded conversation in an 8-hour day (per required format and quality standards).</li><li>
Operate specialized government-provided software and equipment (e.g., JSI voice box, Pen-link, Comverse, and other communications-collection tools) used at the assigned site.</li><li>
Maintain a daily productivity log in accordance with project requirements.</li><li>
Perform related duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications &amp; Skills:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Minimum one (1) year of translation experience in the required language.</li><li>
Knowledge of K'iche'/Quich&eacute; colloquialisms, slang terms, and regional expressions.</li><li>
Familiarity with SMS shorthand, social media terminology, and web chat communications.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written skills in the target language, including accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.</li><li>
Ability to meet the position requirement of a score of 3 or better on a third-party language assessment (Listening/Speaking/Reading/Writing) in English and Spanish.</li><li>
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).</li><li>
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with management and law enforcement personnel.</li><li>
Strong prioritization and time-management skills; ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple tasks, and work effectively in a team environment.</li><li>
Ability to take technical direction and incorporate feedback from multiple sources.</li><li>
Must type 45 words per minute.</li></ul>

POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently looking experienced Chinese Triage Examiners to perform media exploitation (MEDEX) and triage in support a customer in the National Capital Region (NCR). Triage Examiners should be experienced in general linguist operations and Document and Media Exploitation (DOMEX) operations, and are expected to leverage language and analytical skills, as well as advanced computer systems aptitude in addressing triage examination projects.
Requirements:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Perform data discovery on large datasets of foreign language material and identify essential elements of information.</li><li>
Convert, reformat, parse, and otherwise exploit media files using customer tools to ensure compatibility and readability for translation systems.</li><li>
Prepare files and metadata for transfer to translation systems, including review of foreign-language data.</li><li>
Produce report of findings and disseminate to customer, analysts, and liaison officers.</li><li>
Prepare accurate written gists, translations, and/or transcriptions of general and technical material.</li></ul>
SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI - CI Poly
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Native-level proficiency in English.</li><li>
Two years of overall experience in Chinese linguist operations (i.e. translation, language analysis), and two years of experience performing media examination for Document and Media Exploitation projects.</li><li>
Willingness to perform occasional shift work to meet mission demands.</li><li>
