<div>AnnieMac Home Mortgage is looking to hire Full Time External Mortgage Loan Originators to establish referral source relationships for a steady flow of loan volume from real estate brokers and other external sources. Candidates should have experience directly related to the Mortgage Industry. Under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager, the job responsibilities of the External Mortgage Loan Originator position include, but are not limited to, the following:<ul><li>
Primary duty is to sell mortgage loans to customers away from and outside of AnnieMac Home Mortgages places of business. Work done at AnnieMac Home Mortgages offices is related and supplemental to outside sales.</li><li>
Generate new business by building and maintaining relationships with realtors, real estate agents, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, CPAs, and other relevant professionals.</li><li>
Regularly participate in mortgage sales including, but not limited to, attending closings and open houses, and conducting seminars and other lead-generating activities.</li><li>
Take information from the borrower and fill out the loan application.</li><li>
Develop relationships with referral partners such as realtors to generate new customers.</li><li>
Analyze the prospective borrowers income and debt and pre-qualify the prospective borrower to determine the maximum mortgage that the prospective borrower can afford.</li><li>
Counsel the prospective borrower in the home buying and financing process, advising the borrower about the different types of loan products available, and demonstrating how closing costs and monthly payments would vary under each product.</li><li>
Collect financial information (tax returns, bank statements) and other related documents that are part of the application process;</li><li>
Provide disclosures to the borrower, including truth in lending, good faith estimate, and others.</li><li>
Counsel and advise the borrower in understanding and clearing credit problems.</li><li>
Maintain regular contact with the borrower, realtors, and the lender, between application and closing to apprise them of the status of the application and to gather any additional information as needed.</li><li>
Order legal documents.</li><li>
Review HUDS prior to closing.</li></ul><ul><li>
Must have appropriate state license or certificate (varies by state).</li><li>
Must have a thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurance companies.</li><li>
Must have a working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs and private investors.</li><li>
Must be familiar with local, state and national laws (e.g. zoning ordinances, Truth-in Lending, RESPA, energy audit requirements, etc.)</li><li>
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to analyze financial information.</li><li>
Must be a sales-oriented self-starter.</li></ul>

<div>Originate real estate loans in accordance with Federal guidelines and established lending objectives, policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential customers.
Contact bank provided leads within a timely manner and as directed by supervisor, and also promotes and develops relationships with referral sources such as realtors, builders, attorneys, and other affinity groups to generate additional mortgage leads.

Submit loan package to Processor for processing in a timely manner.
Work closely with loan processor to assure loan is handled in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Inform applicants of loan approval, denial or outstanding conditions.
Handle correspondence with applicant in regards to locking of loan and handles actual locking process in accordance with current company procedures and requirements.
Provide excellent customer service and solves customer related problems quickly.
Maintain and enhance market awareness including economic information, housing data and competitive trends; based on this information, helps develop programs or recommends product enhancement to address customer needs.
Maintain and enhance personal knowledge of products and services as well as the laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures appropriate to the position.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with Realtors, Business Partners and any other potential business sources.
Support and cultivate bank referrals and relationships.
Communicate with all mortgage operations staff, along with others in the bank, by always projecting a positive, professional image.
Perform other duties when assigned.

Requirements:
High School Diploma and commitment to continuing job related course work.
Two (2) years of loan originating with proven ability to support a pipeline of 10+ loan applications per month.

Working knowledge of prequalification principles and practices OR two (2) years of originating experience.
Strong sales skills.
Basic computer knowledge including Encompass, Microsoft Word, Excel, and a general understanding of the Internet.
Basic math ability.

Basic accounting/bookkeeping skills.
Ability to use a financial calculator.
Must be detail oriented; have the ability to prioritize.

About this role:

In this role you will:<ul><li>
Participate in delivery of exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach as well as proposing appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially</li><li>
Assist customers with basic requests related to opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications</li><li>
Receive direction from managers and exercise judgement within defined policies and procedures</li><li>
Develop understanding of bank products and services to connect to customers' needs</li><li>
Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships</li><li>
Provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customer</li><li>
Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed</li><li>
This SAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may include the offering/negotiating of terms and/or taking an application for a dwelling secured transaction.
