Martin Marietta is seeking a Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck. Hours are 6:00 am - 2:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.
A typical day for a(n) Off Highway Haul Truck Driver may include:<ul><li>
Operating a haul truck within the company guidelines and safety standards</li><li>
Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations</li><li>
Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed</li><li>
Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor</li><li>
Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment</li><li>
Operating other equipment such as pit and yard loaders in a safe manner as needed</li><li>
Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed</li><li>

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to showcase your driving skills, manage loads, and experience the open road while supporting our commitment to exceptional service.We love to work hand in hand with our drivers.It's important to have good communication and support them with their questions.We maintain a family-like atmosphere filled with respect.Duties<ul><li>Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions across diverse routes, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations.</li><li>Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays, maintaining communication with dispatch for updates.</li><li>Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road.</li><li>Secure loads properly using straps, tarps, or other securing devices to prevent shifting or damage during transit.</li><li>Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.</li><li>Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while demonstrating professionalism on every journey.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven minimum 1 year experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL A license; previous over-the-road driving experience preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety standards.</li><li>Delivery driver experience that showcases reliability, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills is a plus.
