As a LONG Security Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion alarm systems in commercial, industrial, government, and corrections environments. This role involves working independently on routine service tasks and collaborating with project teams on more complex assignments. You will provide excellent customer service, ensuring that systems are operating efficiently and effectively while addressing any technical concerns that arise. You will also mentor, coach and guide junior service technicians in a team environment.<br>

Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections of systems, including tasks such as cleaning, replacing parts, updating software, and optimizing systems to prevent failures. Inspect for physical damage, wear, and signs of degradation.</li><li>
Communicate effectively with customers, addressing inquiries, providing technical guidance, and resolving issues.</li><li>
Educate system users on proper operation and maintenance of products and systems.</li><li>
Advise customers on necessary replacements or critical repairs for maintaining equipment functionality.</li><li>
Troubleshoot IP networks to ensure ongoing system performance.</li><li>
Proficient in installing and servicing electronic door hardware.</li><li>
Assist in developing quotes, including time and materials estimates, for small projects or system upgrades.</li><li>
Provide input for updating drawings and maintaining equipment records, including submitting redlined documents to application engineers for as-built documentation.</li><li>
On-call work may be required on an as needed basis.</li><li>

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in field operations, including troubleshooting.</li><li>

Strong aptitude for computers and/or mechanical equipment, with a self-motivated drive to learn and expand knowledge across various systems.</li><li>
