The position of Packaging Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the mechanical operation of all plant equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic ensures the highest level of work and is a good role model for ensuring: safety, food safety, quality, cost and deliver objectives are met by self and others.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><p><br>
</p><ul><li>Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.</li><li>
Work within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others.</li><li>
Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, sanitized, organized and operable fashion.</li><li>
Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains plant equipment through pre-scheduled work activities or by equipment failures.</li><li>
Review safety, Safe Operating Procedures (SOP), technical drawings, or other documents relevant to complete tasks in a safe and quality manner.</li><li>
Performs preventive/predictive maintenance on all plant equipment.</li><li>
Uses maintenance enterprise system to enter information pertaining to work performed. Required to participate in CARE safety reporting system.</li><li>
Ensure self-compliance with Company policies, plant procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.</li><li>
Maintain necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.</li><li>
Ensure that additional duties and accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards.</li></ul></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Typical Education</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent is required.</li><li>
Trade or technical education is preferred.</li></ul></div></div><p></p><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Relevant Experience</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>
Mechanic 2- Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanics, welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, or closely related field of experience required.</li><li>
Mechanic 1- 3 years&rsquo; experience in industrial maintenance, mechanics, welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, or closely related field of experience required.</li><li>
IMM Mechanic- 5 years&rsquo; experience in industrial maintenance, mechanics, welding, machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, or closely related field of experience required.</li><li>
Previous work experience in industrial maintenance is preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of food safety practices helpful.</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p><p><b><br>
