Responsible for operating gasoline and large diesel-powered machinery in a safe and appropriate manner. Specific duties include heavy equipment maintenance, snow and ice removal, airfield signage and lighting, glycol conveyance, pavement repair and maintenance; year-round airfield maintenance, including garages, parking areas, and pavements. This position assists with snow removal operations on varying shifts, based on operational needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 This is skilled work involving operating medium and heavy-sized construction vehicles and construction equipment and performing semi-skilled and laborer work.NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORKEmployees in this class are expected to be fully proficient in the operation and preventive maintenance of a variety of construction vehicles and equipment as well as laborer duties in such areas as highway maintenance, waste management services, and utilities. Contacts are generally limited to the crew to which the position is assigned and with the public in receiving instructions, providing information, and ensuring laws and regulations are followed.This class is distinguished from Equipment Operator I by the complexity of construction vehicles and equipment operated, the semi-skilled work required in making repairs to highways, storm drains, curbs, and sidewalks, excavating and grading, towing trailers, and etc. The work requires more independent judgment in carrying out assignments, less supervision, and the work performed is expected to be completed in accordance with operating practices and procedures. Crane Operator

The Steam Boiler Operator will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient boiler operations, conducting routine inspections, monitoring system parameters, and performing necessary maintenance to prevent downtime. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards, operational protocols, and proactive problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Operate and monitor steam boilers to ensure efficient functioning and safety compliance.</li><li>
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of boiler systems and associated equipment.</li><li>
Adjust boiler controls and valves to maintain proper steam pressure and temperature levels.</li><li>
